Liberals are not happy about the outcome of the election. Since it did not go their way, they have been throwing temper tantrums in spectacular and violent fashion. Taking to the streets, rioting, obstructing traffic, burning flags, and threatening death. Needless to say it has been a horrible display.
For the past 8 years, Democrats have grown accustomed to getting everything they wanted. Obama has pushed and plowed their agenda through, taking the word of the law and twisting it to mean what he needed.
As Donald Trump carried the election, liberals began to realize that their days of being catered to were coming to an abrupt halt. Instead of making their displeasure known and then moving on to begin working with the pending administration, they have decided to threaten the whole country with hysterics that havent been seen since 1861.

Why should we cede beautiful California to a bunch of leftists? Give these commies and fascists 24 hours to head for North Korea or the Arctic or rescind all illegal and unconstitutional laws. We have the laws to accomplish this - the 1867-68 Reconstruction Act.
Cut them off they cost us a fortune each year.
In 2010, eight of the 10 states with the highest population received the most. California, the most populous state in the country, receives the largest share more than a third of a trillion dollars. Add in another 6 yrs and it’s more.
Just dig a trench along the californcate border and use the material to build the Mexican wall.
Charge hi import fees for anything sold from Californicate to the states.
But think about it. California can become the country of California. Maybe Oregon or Washington would join. The country can do your own thing politically. You probably won’t be able to create a viable military but you can pay the US to outsource it for you- which seems very much CA style. Basically we’ll be incredibly close trade and defense partners but CA can go its own way. The US will lose revenue but become one heck of a lot stronger politically. It could be like a divorce where the two are still good friends. I don’t want to stop buying CA wine.
they just legalized pot... it could give them the tax revenue to be financially independent. just sayin...
They can sell it to CA.
This can work.
Yes, I hope we don’t tar to wide a swath with our brush. Northern Calif is very different from Mexicania. I need to look at the breakdown of red and blue counties. Probably mostly rural folk like here and most places. It seems only the cities really voted for Hil-liar-y. Perhaps we can transport all the city folk who voted for Hil-liar-y to Central and Southern Calif...especially into the Silcone Valley. They’ve been sequestering and festering there much too long as it is.
Then it must be that there are actually JOBS here.
But, you will now proceed to tell me all the BAD NEWS about jobs here. I guess Silicon Valley is just a myth and all those jobs have somehow magically disappeared over night.
I guess it will have to remain a huge MYSTERY why this state has almost 39 million people...larger than some countries and even, choke, choke, more populous than New York or Texas.
You must be from Puckerbrush, Iowa.
If they do, Trump should pull an Abraham Lincoln on ‘em. I’ll start making carpet bags for side money.
I say let them...
We can build the wall along the Mexico border, and right up the California eastern border.
No food stamps, no welfare, no federal aid, and no military protection.
Feed yourself, defend yourself, and relinquish all those electoral votes that Democrats take for granted every election cycle.
We shouldn’t have any problem learning how to do without you... but I doubt you have the ability to learn how to do without the federal government.
“California may slide into the ocean tomorrow, “
50 megaton nuclear bombs exploded simultaneously every few miles in the San Andreas fault could hasten this possible solution to our `frisco/LA problems.
Then we can hang ten off Fresno beaches.
Millions have died so that our nation could remain safe. They gave their lives for Republicans and Democrats. We have seen a shift in our nation, but we are still a nation.
If millions died to keep the sacred trust, shouldn’t we be willing to try to take back our lost territory?
Ten people ot of 36 million or so Californians go to the state capital to get some attention, and some FReepers can’t wait to chime in saying, if those ten want to go, the other 36 million should have to accept it.
The nation’s busiest sea ports are in California. San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco is where they are located. In times of war we need those ports.
What folks have just signed on to, is a deal where anyone who gains control of California, could agree to have a Chinese or Russian military presence there. Hey, those ports would come in handy.
California has the sixth largest economy in the world. Hey, why not gift that to Mexico or a single entity Astlan?
FRee Republic resides in California. So do 35% of the voters who picked Trump over Clinton. Hey, no problem, they deserve to be abandoned by loyal citizens.
Folks we have our work cut out for us. We need to tackle the problems of unions, universities, and guys like George Soros.
If we let California go, we’ll be playing right into their hands. They’ll focus on other states and soon we’ll have lost the entire West coast and stats inland from there.
I know folks think they are being loyalist when they champion the cause of getting rid of bad states. In fact what they are championing is something no enemy has been able to do, take mainland United States soil without a fight.
I live in California. The largest financial support group for Free Republic every quarter for years, does as well.
California is a problem. If folks want to develop focus groups on how to change that, I’m all for it. We shouldn’t get rid of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, New Mexico or Colorado. We shouldn’t get rid of New York or other states.
Folks, we need to come up with strategies that serve us well, not George Soros well.
Will it cost extra to stay out of San Francisco or LA? Might be worth it.
I lived just outside of Modesto and the area was solid conservative. If only we could cut LA, San Fran and Sac loose from the US, and keep the rest, that would be great.
I live about 100 air miles east of there on the other side of the High Sierra (6 hours from Modesto by auto), very conservative here our county went for Trump. Los Angeles gets 60% of its water from us. They would be in trouble if our area was cut off from them.
I live in Atlanta. Chilly right now, due to change without notice.
