This site has a lot of good information about the Trump transition to the White House and government, including agencies, an application form and process, should you want to apply, etc.
I’ve supported Trump’s brash @ss from day 1. I thought we were going to kick ass, I hoped we were going to kick @ss, I PRAYED we were going to kick @ss. But I was still scared to death until that needle hit the Very Likely zone. And that’s when the most beautiful thing happened. All the fear and loathing and anxiety I had been feeling left me (us) and went into THEM, the beast supporters. I haven’t felt this good in 8 years.
why you are trying to pick a fight with me i don’t know. shove off now.
I always got a little boost hearing Hillary’s ad that had Trump saying “I’d bomb the S#*t out of them! This never failed to inspire me! Lol
Taking applications!
In the past, has any other transition team done this?
Thank you kindly!
I sure don’t recall it. I liked the site a lot - can’t believe they got it up so quickly and I’ll bet it didn’t cost very much!
You’re most welcome!
By the way, has anyone heard a good explanation for why the cable news held off calling PA for so long after AP, WSJ, NYT, RCP, etc. had already called it?
It seemed choreographed - like they weren’t allowed to do it until they got the ok from Clinton campaign. The weird Podesta announcement, then within seconds of Trump taking the stage they finally call it, and then it turns out she had already called Trump to concede? WTF?
Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen... and the whole time, Fox talking heads, even FBN, are acting like they don’t know why the Clinton campaign is delaying.... which was BS because it isn’t (or shouldn’t be) up to the Clinton campaign, it should be up to the network “decision desk”.
I felt like it was so faked - I was thinking “maybe these fake lunar landing crackpots were right afterall.”
LOL....I have another bottle ready for Inauguration Day!! ;-)
I agree. That whole not calling PA, Pedodesta thing, etc were just so bizarre.
What was really strange was hearing Stuart Varney say, yesterday morning, that during election evening, they started getting word - around 8:30 p.m.E - that FL was going to go to Trump. And, that they started seeing that trend following, in other key states.
My question, that I yelled at Stuart (my tv), was....then WHY IN THE WORLD WEREN’T YOU REPORTING THIS????
I knew you would! ;-) I have to go buy some.
I have to believe this (transition website) is a result of both foresight and competence. Almost surely Trump had someone working on it in advance. Granted, it’s not a 300+ page website (I had such, some years back), but, still, this took a little work.
I agree, Paul. I’ve thought for a while that it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Trump had engineers, architects, folks meeting with landowners in the area to build on their land if needed, etc. working on The Wall so that sucker could go up starting January 21, 2017.
On time and under budget!
I had to laugh at CBS, cutting into Trump’s victory speech to pronounce Trump the winner.
Well, I really believe the cable news channels (FOX,CNN, MSNBC) all have the same people pulling the strings at the very top, and they are unapologetic Clinton people.
The so-called “decision desk” at FOX and the equivalent at the other networks - the hosts and anchors act like the decision desk is some computer nerds and political analysts running statistal models, but really it’s just a mysterious phone call from the owners telling them when they are allowed to call a state for a candidate.
The hosts and anchors seemed just as in-the-dark as everyone else about why they couldn’t call PA, AZ or even GA.
Frankly, they seemed embarrassed by it.
It’s shameful that we peons even watch these programs and give them ratings and therefore influence that they don’t deserve.
We the people need to assert ourselves and boycott the hell out of these a-holes. I’m not talking about refusing to watch the awful hosts. I think we need to boycott the networks - all of them. And boycott Hollywood, the music industry and professional sports.
I know it’s hard to give that up and there are really good people. But we’re giving celebrities so much power! It has to stop.
If the news wasn’t reporting it these paid anti Trump protesters would evaporate into thin air in two seconds. If the news wasn’t reporting it, nobody would know or care what some Hollywood, music or sports celebrity thinks, but we watch it so they report it.
If we didn’t watch it, they would have no ratings, the sponsors would invest in something else. But we watch it so they have ratings, so they continue to report this trash.
We have to ignore all of these venues or they’ll never go away. Nothing that gets reported is representative of the real “we the people” or what’s really going on in the world. It’s representative of a few of the most vocal celebrities, and celebrities, by definition have a privileged and bizarre perspective that is not based on reality - they literally live in a fantasy world.
Why do people care what a rock star thinks about global warming? Why do we care about what Prince Phillip thinks about income inequaliity in the US? Why do we care about what Brad Pitt thinks about marital relationships? Why do we care what WhoopinGoldberg thinks about anything? Why do we think it’s funny when SNL mocks and slanders Sarah Palin?
I think if we gave it all up and refused to provide propagandists with ratings ($$$), that the good hosts like Dobbs, Hannity, Ingraham - even if they were out of work for a few months, would find a new venue. I think if we boycotted Hollywood, the good guys like John Voight would be hurt at first along with the bad ones, but they’ll do ok in life. They are talented AND have their heads screwed on straight. They’ll survive.
We just have to stop subsidizing the media by watching their programs. They are literally killing us with their propaganda and we’re paying them to do it.
I think this is the next phase of the revolution - we have to boycott the media lock stock and barrel, even our favorite shows. If we only boycott the really bad stuff, the owners will still make money and nothing will change. Plus, even the good shows like Hannity, will interview people to make fun of how ignorant they are, but why give these people a microphone? Why give them a stage?
My mom used to say TV was poisoning our minds - I am starting to see her point. And if she was alive to see Facebook and Twitter.....
It was cool Trump took advantage of TV, Cable, Twitter and FB to get elected, now it’s time to shut it down - not with censorship but with boycotts.
I think I’m just going to get my news from FR and use my TV just for waching old movies.
I know what you mean. This is the third day I am wearing something red!
:-)
That brings up a sore subject. I know laughter is good for the heart and the soul but should I feel guilty about my sudden bursts? They happen at odd times.. When driving down the road and I see someone sadly yanking up their ‘straight to Hell, together’ sign. The window comes down and the finger points. Then from deep down, a rumble turns to a kackle..
In town, at the sandwich shop, a woman (I think), haggard with sleeplessness and wearing a wronged face, with her tray of vegan dog food has her eye drawn to my red MAGA cap. Forgetting that the election is done, she automatically turns on her distain look especially cultivated for heterosexual males, the one that says, ‘I would willingly sleep with a sea slug before I would be friendly with you’. And out comes the laugh, carefree and wild as a salty gust of Bimini breeze.
Should I be letting these poor souls suffer without drawing enjoyment and power from their torment? NAH!
