The Republicans control everything. There are no checks and balances.
Trump will fill Scalia's vacancy and all the judicial vacancies.
What does this mean for the press? He despises the press. His supporters joke about lynching reporters.
I get a text from my Bernie bro telling me that Trumpsters are jubilant.
I'd like to crack a joke. I haven't felt this much political gloom and doom since the Reagan landslide of 1980.
But this may be worse. Reagan at least offered hope.
Trump is dark and mean and foreboding. Always talking about locking people up. Or beating them up. Or investigating his opponents and punishing his enemies.
Hold it. Clinton takes Colorado. The firewall. But Ohio goes to Trump. And Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania are leaning his way.
It could come down to Arizona and Alaska. Home of McCain and Palin—the 2008 ticket.
This is surreal.

But consider that. They are Republicans. How have Republicans used their majorities in Congress or their occupation of the White House in the last 16 years? Being all Republicans offers faint hope and should not concern the lefties terribly except that the Left is about Us vs THEM even more than Ideology.
They still don’t ‘get it’ - - they’ll keep reading us wrong and we’ll keep winning... Life is good. Too bad there aren’t more elections coming up. We could mop the flood with these old snowflakes.
