WLNS ^

It took nearly 16 hours to determine but Michigan is officially with Donald Trump.

Trump has won a hard fought battle for Michigan’s 16 electoral votes.

Just after 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson released the final popular vote totals.

In the presidential race Donald Trump received 2,277,586 votes to Hillary Clinton’s 2,264,361.

Trump recorded a razor-thin margin in the 83 county total: 47.60 percent to Clinton’s 47.33 percent.

It’s a key win that few saw coming in Trump’s quest for the 270 votes that could make him the next president of the United States.

I believe our family, from Florida, should vacation in Pennsylvania or Michigan! Any ideas?

On the electoral map, I could count to 260 but did not know what state would get Trump over the top. Incredible.

No, Trump win by a good margin - 307 to 231 when its all over, and retained both houses of congress, etc. He flipped some dark blue states. Made fools out of the press, the RINO’s, the neverTrumps. And he did it without pandering and making back room deals.

It’s been a lot closer.

The press dragged it out to make it seem close, and try to rain on our parade.

Trump would have kicked ass whoever they nominated.

One of the big things the Trump administration needs to do is to take firm steps to eliminate voter fraud and election rigging. Justice department to not only endorse, but require picture ID and paper ballots in all federal elections.

Why last night was so important. If we did not hold the Senate and House and gain the Presidency, our Republic was doomed. It was that dire. What Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan and John Kasich did not get. We had to not allow Hillary to get in NO MATTER WHAT. Now we can stem this tide and reverse it. Real Federal election reform and stemming the tide of illegals and the demographic nightmare that was going happen. We need to not only reform the election system but also like Reagan get the economy and wealth moving around again. Create more Conservative voters of all colors and orientations by taking back schools, communities and the reigning in the government leviathan. We really avoided the nightmare last night, truly.

We were motivated by disgust and a thirst for freedom and fortunately the Hillary folks were motivated by some amorphous slogans and envy. Our Founding Fathers smiled last night and we honored the 100's of thousands dead and wounded in our armed forces by not giving up on what they fought for..FREEDOM. Very proud of my country today that they didn't sell out the dream and the promise of America.

Yes, 2000 votes or less than it’s an auto recount.

It was close BUT considering Michigan hasn’t been red since 1988, this was a great win.

Does Michigan have a recount trigger? I hope not; it’d be waste of time and money for a state who can ill afford to waste either.

Why bother, Trump doesn’t need MI in the electoral college. It would be a complete waste of money.

That is probably recount territory but nobody cares to bother at this point. Trump will have 306 EV without NH.

Yeah, it won’t make any difference. Same with Maine - he’d have to get 100%, pretty much, of the remaining.

The liberals are grasping at straws. Of course, if they understood reality, Obama wouldn’t have won in 2008 nor 2012.

Pretty smart group of founders, no? I hate states like Maine who split them. Idiots, literally, or corrupt is probably more the case.

You certainly had your hands full. I was single dad for about 3 years starting with only one 18 month year old due to divorce. That was back when there were no changing tables in the mens room etc.

The county that was last to report was deep red. I was surprised when it finally posted. I wonder if this time, our side decided to withhold tallies until after the Philly Phraud was in?

“Justice department to not only endorse, but require picture ID and paper ballots in all federal elections.” Requiring IDs etc. are state decisions under the constitution.

So are the requirements for a Driver License. But somehow we have "real ID" requirements.

He did not need florida after all. Could you imagine how we would have felt if florida went hillary then we still won? It would have been a real coaster ride. Like the msu umich game last year

Recount if 2000 separate the top two.

His margin is way more than that.
