Our local talk radio got rid of Michael Medved. No love lost there. Then, unfortunately, we now have Hugh Hewitt in place of the retired Bill Bennett. Can’t stand Hugh. Such a pompous, know-it-all blabber mouth! He’s been so reluctantly for Trump, like it’s a disease in his mouth to have to even say the name of Trump, yet alone support him, which has been ever so tepid at best. In fact, no support for Trump, really, just so staunchly anti-Clinton. Hope he gets the boot, too, and for good!

Let me say it again- Thank you so much for the wonderful images that you’ve posted here at the TF threads, throughout (save for the Erskine fire) the entire Trump campaign. Someone up thread said it best- the image contributions added a rich context to the rally threads, giving us quite strong impressions, as if we were in the rallies or at the rallies, and many times, also to your credit... the images were just minutes old.

I didn’t mean to, but I nodded off on the sofa about 8:30 or so last night. Woke up at 1:30, laid down on the sofa (was too lazy to climb the stairs to the bedroom) and after an hour couldn’t go back to sleep. I’m going to need a nap today to make it through the night.

In spring when 3d-Joy and I were discussing
, I began calling DC hotels. NOTHING....NADA for ballrooms. Large meeting rooms
apparently both sides have done heavy duty reserving in anticipation. Of course there will be a drop out after the fact.
Part of me believes we should have a celebratory event but it does NOT have to be that day. From attending past inaugurations the president/VP do make it briefly to the 6 or so official functions
Knowing our guy, he just may say no to even having them. He will be down to business big time starting tomorrow.
My thoughts - Lets plan something on perhaps Valentine day? or weekend prior/after.
Of course it is winter just like Jan 20 and a little snow does paralyze the area.
Wouldn't it be great to book Trump Hotel ballroom? Perhaps DJT and Melania and or the kids would drop in ?
My budget is very limited but I know many here could afford to stay at his hotel. How special will that be?

Better half, youngest son and I just got back from voting. A little jammed getting in, but just because people don't know how to navigate parking. Just pokey, but traffic flow managed very well by 10 or so people. Once parked and in the building, zero line. I had some town business to take care of, then greeted the clerk by name. She said "no line," I offered to hold up traffic if she wanted. Got the ballots, voted. The room layout was awful for queuing up to feed ballots to the machines, people who had voted (marked the ballots) were wandering around trying to find the end of the "feed the ballot to the machine" line. My ballots were #907 on one of three machines. New machines, no prominent name on the front. Hmmm. Federal money paid for them, identified as "ESS" on the back.
After getting my "I voted" sticker reward (are we like little kids or what?), was asked by a well dressed young fellow if I would like to take an exit poll. Sure. Paper form, anonymous. I lied my ass off except about my race, sex, and age. For exit polling purposes, I am a liberal who voted for Crooked because she is most honest or qualified, or something like that. I did concede that I thought Trump was qualified (good liberal, not a mean liberal), and answered the global warming questions as ..,.. hmmm, I forget what I answered. I think I marked "Already fixed by Al Gore." On party affiliation, I could be DEM, REP, IND, or "Something Else!" Of course I am something else!!!!
Traffic was backing up on the highway as we left, so we hit at a good time.
Maine, 1 CD, in case anybody reports exiting polling from our locale.
