Report: Indictment 'Likely' in FBI's Clinton Foundation Probe
thehill.com ^ | November 02, 2016

Two sources within the FBI told Fox News on Wednesday that the investigation of the Clinton Foundation is likely to lead to an indictment.

Fox News' Bret Baier said Wednesday that the FBI probe into a possible pay-to-play scheme between Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation has been going on for over a year.

Sources told the news network that the investigation, which is conducted by the White Collar Crime division of the FBI, is a "very high priority."

One source further stated that the bureau collected "a lot of" evidence, adding that "there is an avalanche of new information coming every day."

Baier also said that the Clinton Foundation probe is more expansive than previously thought, and that many individuals have been interviewed several times throughout the course of the investigation.

Sources said that they are "actively and aggressively pursuing this case" and that investigations are likely to continue.

Baier added that when he pressed the sources about the details of both probes, they told him that they are likely to lead to an indictment.

Additionally, Baier reported that according to Fox News' sources, Clinton's private email server had been breached by at least five foreign intelligence hackers. FBI Director James Comey said in July that he could not say definitively whether her server had been breached.

Here’s the thing...she’s got Parkinsons and even with medication...she’s probably got three or four years of half-way marginal health before she deteriorates into a rest-home situation. Putting her into a prison....just wastes money. Making her give up politics...give up the foundation business...just to survive off the Sec of State/Senator pension? Trump in my opinion scores over some generosity. If you limit her to no public position or honorary position in any foundation...you cripple any chance that she has of evolving back into politics.

I don’t see her being active or doing much beyond 2020...she’ll be at the next stage of her disease and not much of a threat.

I might also offer Bill Clinton a pardon, based on more charges by the FBI (my guess she’s not the only one in trouble), and put him on a very short leash (no overseas trips for example). And then I’d turn to Chelsea (if she’s got charges) and make sure she has no foundation to exist as well.

“”Jamie Gorelick, to pick one at random””

Bite your tongue! That’s ONE that hasn’t risen to the top again and put that thought away before it becomes true!!!!! I had forgotten about her. It seems as if all the others are still hanging onto the coattails of the grifters.

“”Obama was actually considering him for AG. Obviously, the guy isn’t dirty.””

I do recall that.... I’m sure glad we don’t have to take tests at the end of the day after our brains have been mangled with all this jazz!

Sorry, I don’t want to see pardons. I’m sick of that crap. I don’t care how much it costs, I want her in prison. I want all of them in prison. If the little people have to serve time for their crimes, I want the Clinton Crime Syndicate to serve time too. Hey, it might act as a deterrent. Pardons do the opposite. Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Chris Stevens, Seth Rich, and so many others deserve justice.

Ok - but how does that jibe with Ford’s pardon of Nixon?

...she and everyone involved will be pardoned...

I am not so sure of this. Might deserve its own thread but I think not.

Nixon was pardoned for the good of the nation. I think for the good of the Nation this needs to play out to show we are all equal under the law.

The filthy Lying Loretta Lynch is doing her best to block an indictment. Too bad for her that she's so incompetent. I believe that Assange will release some evidence that will destroy the Clinton's if Hillary isn't indicted before election day. I'm pretty sure the FBI agents gave Assange some damning evidence.

Yup, l.8 billion dollars already moved into a Qatar bank just a few weeks ago. Doesn’t take a crystal ball to show their will be a long trip in Hillary’s future.

“...and pull Hillary’s passport”

That is the best idea of all. There is that 1.8 billion dollars Hillary transferred to Qatar and here she would be in the states and unable to get to it. (Altho’, she probably has Chelsea’s name on the account, too.)

Well, to be fair...those cases were relatively trivial in comparison to what Hillary did.

Even if they hadn’t put classified content on the email server, just the collected mass quantity of communications is sensitive to have on a Secretary of State.

I had not heard that but I was sure that it had happened. Only a few weeks? That was cutting it close. Well let’s hope she never gets to use it!

“Pree Ferrara (sp?)”

Immigrants in this country used to anglicize theirs and their children’s names. Its ridiculous to burden a child with a name from a foreign culture.

“Preetinder Singh “Preet” Bharara”

Dude needs to go by ‘Pete’. Americans can’t pronounce or remember names that foreign.

That would be the right thing to do. These are, after all, the “voters” who’ve tipped the elections for Democrats for decades.

I would suggest you become familiar with the case of Pres. Andrew Johnson and Alexander Garland.

Oops.

I was wrong about the treason exception.

A buddy who is a real good criminal lawyer recently mentioned that so obviously he is not a constitutional scholar as well.

The power of the President to pardon is awesome, which is the reason that the only time it has really been abused was the last day of the Clinton Administration.

There was discussion about challenging that abuse at the time but GW Bush was not interested.

Much of the corruption, criminality and abuse of power we are seeing now with Hillary Clinton have their roots in abuse of our legal system from the dirty deals Clinton did with pardons as he left office and the fact that the Clinton's got away with those abuses.

The point I was trying to make was that if a corrupt and criminal President used the pardon power to protect himself and his corrupt and criminal associates from prosecution, there would be massive public pressure to overturn the pardons and/or to put limits on the Presidents pardon power.

There are plenty of legal tricks that could circumvent flagrant and serious abuse of pardon power.

Pardons could also seriously backfire on the Clinton posse because their malfeasance as been so widespread it is literally international in scope and much of the Clinton crimes are out of the jurisdiction of the President of the US and are either under US state jurisdiction of foreign jurisdiction.

A pissed off American public could demand that the pardoned Team Clinton be crucified in US State courts with suitable jurisdiction.

Some of the Clinton crimes may include using US government power as Sec of State to overthrow foreign governments or foment revolution in those foreign countries in return for bribes or other forms of personal gain.

Egypt, Libya and Syria come to mind.

These acts may have led to acts that provide charges of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity that Team Clinton is responsible for.

If the Clinton's try to slip the noose via ill advised pardons, a pissed off American electorate could support extraditing them to a places like Egypt, Libya or Syria where Clinton crimes out of the jurisdiction and pardon power of the President of the United Sates to face justice there.

Egypt especially reportedly has extensive evidence of criminal acts in the overthrow Mubarak and installation of Mohammed Morsi, many of which reportedly involve support of Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda terrorist groups which would constitute treason against America if exposed.

All of the above could create constitutional crises and create very bad precedents and negative consequences for the country going forward - a fact that the Clintons are taking advantage of and relying on.

On this particular subject, there’s a lot of obfuscation because most of the commonly cited opinions on this are from Leftists trying to demonstrate that Ford’s pardon of Nixon was somehow illegitimate. Reality, once again, is not on the side of the Left.

Established procedure is irrelevant, if Obama wants to pardon her he can bypass any procedure, at the risk of intense criticism.

If your friend says I'm wrong, please tell me but it's my understanding that once pardoned, the target's 5th amendment right is gone, as pertains to the crimes covered by the pardon. I suspect Obama would have to pardon a lot more that Hillary to cover all potential offenders. Who likely know a bit about him as well as Hillary. And Congress, having a supervisory obligation, could easily continue to investigate these transgressions. As I understand it, a pardoned Hillary would testify honestly, or be jailed for contempt or perjury, or both. A politically unattractive position if Trump is elected, though he seems to want to "drain the swamp". And politically a pardoned Hillary could be as vulnerable as an unpardoned one.
