Yesterday Loretta Lynch took the fifth to avoid testifying in further investigations. Why would the AG need to avoid testimony? I think it’s because she was involved in all this from the beginning.

But I don't buy the story about why the investigation is starting back up.

As to James Comey; once you sell your soul to the devil you can’t get it back. I think this hole card has been there to play if it started looking like Trump was maybe going to win and the polls are now too close for comfort.

So now, the Clintons are opening the door to charges being brought so the Obama will have a chance to pardon her before he leaves office.

I think they know if she doesn’t win and Trump puts Giuliani, Christie and Gowdy on the investigation and prosecution, she could be going to jail. What’s left to be seen, now is how many people might get caught up in this continued investigation and become susceptible to charges.

But, what the hell? Every scandal the Clintons have created leaves a wake of death and ruined lives – just, not theirs.

First I've heard of that. Can you provide a source? If true, there is no longer any doubt how deep the corruption runs. The US top prosecutor taking the fifth? Is that even legal?

She simply declined to testify to Congress about one particular subject. Some have characterized that as "taking the fifth".

Hillary seems like the type who, if she has to go down, will take as many people with her as possible. At the very least she would try to drag the Obamas into this mess with her, especially if she blames them for failing to protect her from prosecution.

Those headlines are for click-bait purposes. If you read the story she may have effectively pleaded the 5th. But she did not actually legally plead the 5th.

That was my first impression as well, that Clinton wants all of her questionable actions to be public, so that when Obama drafts his pardon it will be all-encompassing; that there will be no loose ends a Trump prosecutor could pursue.

But on second thought, there does not seem to be any way this latest release serves Clinton's political campaign; in fact, it may doom the campaign.

What is Obama's motivation for releasing the info prior to the election (via his agent, Comey), if not to provide a benefit to Clinton? Has Clinton overplayed her hand vis-a-vis Obama and this is his retaliation? Does the fact that Obama has been outed as a liar re knowing that she used a private server altere his strategy?

We live in interesting times, if not perilous.
