Hillary Clinton is maintaining a six to seven point lead over Donald Trump in Michigan, according to two new polls — but her lead has shrunk since earlier in the month when she held an 11 point advantage.
A Free Press/WXYZ-TV poll reveals Clinton with a seven point lead over Trump, 41 percent to 34 percent. Earlier this month, Clinton topped Trump in Michigan by roughly 11 points.
Independents accounted for 19 percent of the survey, while 42 percent of those polled identified as Democrats and 36 percent identified as Republicans. The Free Press/WXYZ-TV poll questioned 600 likely voters and has a plus or minus four point margin of error.
A Fox 2 Detroit/Mitchell poll shows Clinton with a six point lead over the Republican nominee. She held a 13 point lead in mid-October before the final presidential debate in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The results reveal Clinton’s edge with female voters decreased, as well as her support from Democrats. “For the first time, Clinton is weaker with Democrats (89% in the four-way) than Trump is with Republicans (92% in the four-way). Trump continues to have a strong lead with Independents (50%-18%),” notes the poll’s press release.

These polls are so unbelievable!
I'm surprised Trump is doing this well among Republicans, but if this is a recurring theme in many battleground states then it bodes well for Trump even if he doesn't win Michigan.

Crushing Trump lead with independents. I couldn’t find the poll internals, but if like in PA, Trump is getting 25% of the black vote. Michigan is game over for the witch.

Actually, not a thing has changed except we are getting closer to the 8th and the pollsters are truing-up their numbers to reality so they get hired again.

I’d have to conclude that Trump is gonna clean her clock in Michigan if she’s getting 89% of democrats and is still at only 41% in this poll, while Trump gets 92% republicans and is up 32% in independents.
Confusing subcategories. Clinton has less support from her own party than Trump (which is not part of the narrative), and she is tanking with independents yet she is going to pull more Democrats to the polls than Trump is going to pull Republicans and independents? 1+1 is not equal to 3.
Same polls which said she would beat Sanders by 21% in MI and lost.
Pray America wakes
If it gets out there, Michael Moore’s endorsement of Trump ought to persuade a lot of Michigan voters.
These numbers don’t add up, agree.
Trump is going to win MI.
I have to say that when they had Hillary up by 22 points before the Democratic primary there, Bernie won by 2 points.
This is was a state MSM guaranteed was in the bag for her... until they began counting the vote.
Reason I say it is that in reality Hillary’s support is soft and no one seems interested in actually coming out to vote for her.
If this is the case in MI, imagine how it looks around the country.
When these are adjusted as “statespoll.com” does for 2012 levels (which will be even better for us), it’s . . .

Hillary is redeploying her troops.
Not a sign of a winning campaign.
And Trump is moving into MI for the kill.
Don’t be surprised if he begins scheduling rallies there in the closing days of the campaign.
