Perhaps the contributions should have gone to building the damn building correct the first time?
As long as it Leans Forward!, it’s OK!
The leaning tower of SODOM.
It leans left I presume?
Just rechristen it the Bill Clinton Arms then.
I bet it would just lean straight if it had been a Trump Tower. May be let Trump fix and make it great again?
Gee the builder wasn’t Nancy’s hubbie?
It’s the democrat way.
Just where I want to be when the next big earthquake hits. NOT!
“Dodson and other residents blame developers for what they say is a flawed design. The tower’s foundation, for instance, uses piles driven 60 to 90 feet into landfill, rather than the pricier option of going down at least 240 feet to bedrock.”
Yeah, nothing like a luxury building where they cut costs somewhere that no one will notice.

I guess the middle class taxpayers of California who have a 9.3% tax rate could be called upon to suck it up and pay much much more. The city of San Francisco certainly should never qualify for any federal aid on anything as they are a self-proclaimed Sanctuary City. The Treasury department, under Trump, should simply go get a court injunction from a friendly federal Judge to cutoff all funds to said Sanctuary cities (directly or indirectly) until Congress specifically appropriates such funds for said Sanctuary cities due to the excess costs that their “sanctuary” status is inflicting on the rest of the country.
Seriously, if you are going to attempt to build anything in San Fran you are going to have to give lots of cash to the left, because that’s the party in power... If you tried to build in a Republican controlled area, the donations would be to R’s....
Not everything is politics.
All the smart, old money built on the side of the hill in SF. No problems with Earthquakes, flood, sinking (or in the old days, disease).
When radio and TV towers are erected they must own all the land around it so if they fall they don’t fall off the site.
So a 600 foot tower must have a parcel that is 1200 feet square at a minimum.
Why don’t they use these same regulations on high rises ???
58 stories is about 600 feet high. That’s area is about 16 city blocks.

Kind of a metaphor for the city of San Francisco.
Perhaps this was deliberately intended as an homage to Bill Clinton. Peyronie’s Tower?
Fits quite well and is illustrative of the “bedrock principles” of the SF governing types...
