“No way that is game time, Id need to see a photo about 10 minutes after kickoff.”
I totally agree - stadiums aren’t really at the game attendance capacity until half way through the first quarter. We went to Metlife Stadium to watch our Ravens lose (ARGH!!!!) and that’s exactly as the stands looked right as the teams lined up for kick-off. Every Ravens game I’ve been to we’ve noticed people don’t even start heading to the stadium until right before kick-off and it takes 10 minutes for them to fill the place.

That photo is right before kickoff. You can see the 49ers running on the field and the visiting team just starting to run on the field. Look closely at the picture.

Yes, as others have pointed out, many stadiums can be near empty like this around kickoff, I'd like to see a picture 10 minutes after KO.

Exactly. Those animals give the finger to Blue Angels’ performance. There are some patriots in San Fran, but I don’t think either of them watch football.

I know the sports section of my local paper use to put the attendance number in at the bottom of the box score. I'm going to the store soon, I'll check it out if I can.

".......the season ticket holders dont just disappear; not until the next season when its time to pay for the tickets again." Why wouldn't they??? Yeah, they'll be out a few more bucks than single-game tickets. But season ticket holders are also, I think, more appreciative of loyalty, which goes both ways.

No its not. The Tampa Bay/SF was played at 1pm PST. TB destroyed them and they suck.
Thank God, Elway never completed the deal for Copperdick.

Was that DURING the game or was that a pre-game shot?

Was that DURING the game or was that a pre-game shot? According to the twitter post, it was at kick-off:

What killed spring time football was TV ratings, nobody wants to watch a game with few fans in the seats.

The real tell is going to StubHub and seeing how many tickets are available for their upcoming home games and what the prices are.

A lot of folks were probably still in the concession lines at the kickoff.

I checked the attendance recorded in the box score in the newspaper and it was a little over 70,000 people. I don't know if it accurate or not but that's what it said.

So, those aren’t red jerseys, they’re empty seats?
Well, I think SF has brought in on itself by not disciplining Kaepernick. They should have told him he’s free to make a statement off the field, but not during the anthem.
This “trend” is turning off NFL fans, but I think it’s turning off 49er fans more, by the looks of the attendance. Ticket prices can’t be up, either!

That is beautiful.
Is this a Clinton speech-event/rally?
