That photo is right before kickoff. You can see the 49ers running on the field and the visiting team just starting to run on the field. Look closely at the picture.

Yes, as others have pointed out, many stadiums can be near empty like this around kickoff, I'd like to see a picture 10 minutes after KO.

I know the sports section of my local paper use to put the attendance number in at the bottom of the box score. I'm going to the store soon, I'll check it out if I can.
