In the final sprint of the general election season, Donald Trumps presidential campaign is acknowledging that its playing catch-up to Hillary Clinton, just as a new national poll shows the Republican nominee trailing his opponent by double digits.
When asked on NBC News how she saw the state of the race, Kellyanne Conway, Trumps campaign manager, replied that We are behind.
She has some advantages, like $66 million in ad buys just in the month of September, thereby doubling her ad buys from August, Conway pointed out. Now, most of those ads are negative against Donald Trump, classic politics, personal destruction...kind of ads. And that she has tremendous advantages.

All about turnout.
Raise Trump intensity, deflate Clinton voters with overconfidence?
She’s imitating snakehead.
Has anyone even heard people talking about the elections? If it was not for the news I would not think an election is coming up. I don’t see signs, a very few Hillary stickers or people on sidewalks hawking a candidate. this is a very mysterious election.
Well, I’m not...:^)
What would you want Kellyanne to do slip into the trap and start arguing so they could cherry pick her remarks? Did you want her to say yes but they over sampled Democrats so the next poll they release show a bigger lead with less Democrats they put together by merely lying?
This election will be won on enthusiasm and she doesn’t have it but Trump does.
We are behind. She has some advantages, like $66 million in ad buys just in the month of September
*********
Trump likes to tell us he has $10 Billion, why isn’t he blitzing the airwaves with a smart ad campaign?????
No harm in agreeing with the premise, and it takes one argument off the table.
Of course she is. Why on earth would she say anything different here? His entire campaign has been from behind and he has prevailed at every hurdle. She needs to paint the picture to keep the pressure on the voters.
I think this should be removed....its giving misleading information...
Well, it won’t be long until we know the truth. We got burned disbelieving the polls in 2012 and feels like here we are again.
I’m not sure what could have changed structurally with the race between the last -4 to this -11. I’m convinced that there is some fudge factor of pro-H bias in media/university polls, but if KC is saying they’re behind, I think we should take her at her word. I would think that it’s highly unlikely they’re trying to play possum to hope H’s marginal supporters stay home and all of T’s turn out when the effect could end up suppressing your own turnout.
I don't see the upside to quite a bit of what she says.
Perhaps she has been instrumental in keeping Trump more on message but the rest I am not too impressed with.
TV adds don’t really change voter’s opinions. Has it ever changed yours?
To keep the pressure on for support. If she were to come out and say something different at this point, it could suppress support. Also, do you believe the national polling the media is touting? First of all, there’s national polls and state-by-state polls. Second of all, would Hillary and company be campaigning in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina if she was so far ahead? Third of all, there’s still two + weeks left. A lifetime in a volatile race.
Yes Trump is doing internal polls. They don’t publicly speak about them, but at times have leaked to some. They have Trump up a lot more than the BS loony college or Lame Media polls.
I didn’t question it initially. But after the first debate, when it was obvious that a woman’s hand was on the political cradle, I knew Conway wasn’t good for Trump. I’d also throw Ivanka into the mix. If he loses, I won’t blame her but she’s tried to choke off Trump’s very good instincts.
No, that’s what YOU think. Where is the incentive to vote higher, if you think you’re ahead comfortably or if you think you’re behind in the election of a lifetime and every vote counts?
