Rumblings of a leadership shake-up are getting louder Paul Ryans position is about to become the next target of conservatives.
CNN had this report yesterday:
Rep. Mark Meadows said Thursday the effort to remove Speaker Paul Ryan is picking up some steam because many GOP lawmakers and a stream of callers to the North Carolinians congressional offices are incensed the Wisconsin Republican hasnt embraced fully Donald Trumps candidacy for president.
Meadows, one of the 30-plus members of the ultra-conservative and powerful House Freedom Caucus, said there will be real discussions after November 8 on who our leadership will be and what that will look like going forward.
This coincides with another report, which quoted an unnamed Freedom Caucus member saying it is a pretty sure bet there will be a GOP challenger taking on Paul Ryan for the Speakers gavel.
Theres also some pressure from outside Capitol Hill, with prominent voices from Republican media pushing for Ryans ouster.

I just love how the GOPe and super elites continue their pompous ways to shame the country that the elites are the truly anointed ones and have all the correct answers to every problem. -
Just keep it up, we are all watching. We are returning our roots to Capital "R" Republic, Of the people, By the people and For the people
So far there are two articles with this exact same message: Payl Ryan is in Trouble! That indicates it’s a coordinated Establishment message. Which in turn means it’s a lie.
It doesn’t matter at all which Party “controls the Senate.” At least 10 Republican Senators vote with the ‘Rats on almost every issue and the Republican Speaker of the House may as well be a ‘Rat.
Trump wins or this country is done. Finished. Kaput. Fini. Congress is irrelevant.
Agreed - about the only good thing that comes out of a Republican senate at 51 without a Trump victory is a bit more negotiating power on USSC justices but I’m sure they’ll cave anyway.
Really don’t get the remark - I’m just a dumbass country boy my wife tells me. Regardless, I still think Ryan is a grown up Eddie from the Munsters who is a snide little smirking prick.
Liberal is to nice of a word and doesn’t define who they really are?
Self serving, self aggrandizing, anti-American globalist uni-partitarians?
Ryan is a typical corporatist politician. He does what big business and big banks tell him to do.
Many rumblings of opposition are from GOP Congressman who want to get re-elected.
After the election we will see if their noise is just smoke and mirrors. My gut is that it will turn out to be that way.
All but a handful of the GOP members (nine) supported Ryan for Speaker in the first place.
My congressman (Scott Perry) supported Ryan and Boehner before that.
He will never get my vote.
The weasel from the Badger State needs to go.
This pretty much tells it all. The beard she sports seems to me just like Herr Wiener’s d!ck snapshots to young tarts, frankly.
Thanks!
but Im sure theyll cave anyway.
Do they actually cave or is it the sleepers in the Republican party?
I am not voting for my congressman for this election. I’m leaving that box blank. I am leaving the Senator candidate box blank also.
My entire purpose to go early-vote tomorrow is to make sure I cast my vote for TRUMP.
Not gonna happen. They voted for the RINO and they’ll stick with him.

You assume that the Republican congressmen actually WANT to oppose the Democrats, but fail to do so out of lack of courage.
I assume the Republican congressmen are in bed with the Democrats. I assume they only pretend to oppose the Dems, in order to win election in conservative districts. I assume their having a deal with the Dems, such that they can engage in graft and have sex with lobbyist women all they want, as long as they don't oppose the Dems in any important ways.
Given the above assumptions, the behavior of the Republican Establishment makes perfect sense, and also explains why they get so hysterical at the idea of some outsider coming in, who is not part of their network of deals.
Posted to the wrong thread, but what the heck. Still a fascinating read.
Paul Ryan was also in deep trouble in his primary (supposedly), but he seems to have survived it OK.
he won’t be laughing for very long.
Budget?
The GOP house hasn’t done a budget in years.
All good. The definition of a Never T is someone who puts his own career before the cause. With that kind public scorn cuts so much deeper. Dish the contempt up on his Twitter and Facebook pages relentlessly. Right now these scuzzbags feel victory is a difficult two weeks away. They think they've taken a few hits but they're still in the game. on November 9th they'll feel like the Grande Armée staring in horror at the Lines of Torres Vedras. Too weak to attack and too deep in enemy territory, to retreat.
