CWP = concealed weapons permit. Firearms, edged weapons, batons, etc. Many states permits/licenses are only for firearms. Pull a jacket over the fixed blade knife on your belt and you're in violation. I'm still trying to find the right carry option for a firearm. I've dropped to 148 lbs from 191 and it's challenging enough to just not lose my pants. The blades are light. A shoulder rig or belly band may end up the only viable option.

If I’m a business suit I have a shoulder rig otherwise I carry my Beretta Tomcat in an ankle holster. Washington state calls it a Concealed Pistol License.
