FULL TITLE:'I have nothing to say': Lady Gaga leaves viewers cringing as she refuses to talk with Charlie Stayt in painfully awkward interview
She's famed for her carefree and spirited attitude. But viewers were shocked to see Lady Gaga looking less animated than usual as she reluctantly answered questions about politics on Friday's episode of BBC Breakfast. Chatting to Charlie Stayt, the 30-year-old songstress left the audience cringing when she announced she had 'nothing to say' in an interview littered with excruciating silences.
Pressing further, the BBC presenter questioned: 'He claims he represents people who have been unrepresented, who havent had a voice?'
Following an icy silence, Gaga sighed: 'I think, what is most important is for us to try and decipher what is real and what is not. And what is honest and what is dishonest. And be accepting of those things and not operating from fear.'

“Uh, great poker face! I cannot tell what she is holding.”
Just a pair.
After giving it more thought, it's obvious what drove her to that comment. The Russian Intelligence Agency hacked her emails too and threatened to release them if she were to say anything bad about Trump.............
You heard it here first!
lol
I wish I could find a Looney Tunes gif in which Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester the Cat or some other character screams, “Aaaaaahhhhhhhh, SHUT UP!” and then slaps another character. I would probably post it on every thread about some doofus celebrity giving his or her moronic opinion on political or social issues.
because she will be at the Super Bowl. there must be a gag order from Baddell to STFU
Following an icy silence, Gaga sighed: ‘I think, what is most important is for us to try and decipher what is real (Trump) and what is not (Hillary). And what is honest (Trump) and what is dishonest (Hillary). And be accepting of those things and not operating from fear.’
Sounds like she is hinting that she supports Trump in her cryptic non-answer. Doesnt come out and say it because she doesnt want to deal with the BS. She is actually not that dumb. She reminds me a lot of KISS. They are bright, lean conservative, and they know dumb catchy songs and ridiculous costumes and stage antics = piles and piles of money.
She has a new album coming out. Why would she want to piss off half of the country who are potential buyers by answering political questions?
So, the deal is, she is getting her albums “de-rated” (sold below costs and publicity) by Hillary’s moguls in the entertainment because she has NOT attacked Trump successfully?
That was my take. This was an open door for her to take the easy road and throw in with Hillary, like most other personas. She didn’t. That says ‘secret Trump supporter’ to me.
Based on what I’ve read, didn’t see the interview, I think she did fine.
Based on her bio at IMDB, she strikes me as independent.
She declined to politicize herself as a performer, which FReepers should applaud. She’s going to just shut up and sing. But, the nasty hen-pecking commenced anyway.
Same can be aid for politicians.
That’s the way I read it. Maybe she’d rather shut up and sing?
“Please define great.”
There is no accounting for taste, but in my opinion she has a great voice, her politics, meh
Refreshing.
Makes me actually kind of like her :) Springsteen could take a lesson from her on when to shut up.
Great voice.
I understand that people have public positions that support their self interest (e.g. support Hillary in name at least), but her silence on Trump is deafening. Gaga is actually a very talented singer (when she wants to be, as with Tony Bennett) and a highly intelligent person. Hopefully we will see the stranglehold liberalism has on entertainers go away.
"She declined to politicize herself as a performer, which FReepers should applaud. Shes going to just shut up and sing. But, the nasty hen-pecking commenced anyway."
We should be applauding Lady Gaga for what she did. I hereby lead the clapping.
She actually went full on pro-homosexuality for a while.
Maybe she is growing up.
For once I’d like to hear a celebrity when questioned about their politics answer, “That’s none of your damn business.”
