Blowback; maybe. Most such blowback would likely be done via by fellow Wikis with more hacking. Hacking is disruptive and annoying, but doesn’t always change day to day life for large groups of people.

Well, that didn’t take long...Wikileaks releases first tranche of Obama emails yesterday, London bobbies (aren’t they typically unarmed?) show up with hardware.
There was a false report two days ago that Assange had been taken into custody by the Brits.
This is probably just BS like that report.
There were photos with that report too.
I will be surprised if he keeps on breathing. Very powerful people against him and Trump. The most powerful people in the history of the world.
Time to stop the slow drip and dump everything NOW.

That he hasn’t released it all yet is probably the only thing really keeping him safe. He’s not stupid; he’s arranged things so that if he goes incommunicado for any reason, ever-larger dumps of devastating leaks will appear, and not just implicating the most obvious suspects i.e. attacking the US and the election. There will be embarrassments in there for plenty of hitherto-uninvolved leaders and public figures around the world, to ensure that there are plenty of powerful people out there who have a vested interest in keeping him from disappearing.
Presumably, there are clandestine phone conversations going on right now all over the place, with people being pressured to leave Assange alone. And really, his death is irrelevant by now. Petty vengeance won’t stop the leaks, and could well make things far more uncomfortable for lots of people who aren’t currently affected by the scandals surrounding Clinton et al.

They would be much more effective going after one or more of the owners of the mirror sites. Scare them and they might either stop the rest of the leaks or get a huge rush now instead of a daily release over the next two weeks. You can bet the globalist thugs have already figured this out and are hunting worldwide right now.
