The Brits managed to crew and set sail with a warship?
Diesel-fueled old style; just wait until it needs parts.
Nonetheless, I never forget that Obama and Hillary got NATO to bomb Libya - then covered up Benghazi.
Destabilized Syria - and are now poking the Russian Bear for World War IV.
Hillary/Armageddon 2016!!!
Yeah, right? That should be news in itself.
Watch Russia tame the islamo retards.
I don’t see anything a couple of torpedoes couldn’t cure. I’m just surprised the UK has “warships”.
The Russian navy has never been battle tested, their equipment is substandard, their sailors are poorly trained.
I’m surprised they have made it that far from home port without vessel assist.
It is probably fueled with vodka.
Some reports say it’s nuclear powered; has undergone a retrofit.
That Russian aircraft carrier is so un reliable that it has to have an ocean going tug follow it around in case it needs a tow. I’m not joking.
John Kerry reporting to duty sir!
Once, perhaps. But now she's like a rusted out Ford Torino. She can rattle herself from point A to point B and back again, but barely.
Do you think our boys in Rota will scramble up an escort?
So, here’s how they operate. They sat around in a big room and discussed how they were going to handle the WikiLeaks emails. Someone suggested “Why don’t we blame Russia and every time they’re brought up we’ll pivot to it being about Russia, not the content of the emails.”
Someone else says “But won’t the American people wonder why we’re not doing anything about it?”
A third person says “We’ll do some saber rattling and move some ships around and pretend we’re going to retaliate.”
Obama slaps himself on the forehead and says “Wow! I coulda’ had a V 8.”
It’s almost like you were there :)
The Russians and the Americans have had the same exact number of major naval battles since 1945: 0. All sides are untested.
We've both had skirmishes - the Russians off the coast of Abkhazia in 2008 for instance.
But has the US Navy ever had to fight out if Aegis actually works against a near peer adversary? Nope. Hopefully we never will.
And a servant, trying to helpful, thought about an old Mickey Rooney / Liza Minelli movie she’d recently watched since old re-runs is all she gets to watch in the basement, stood up and said “I know! We can put on a show!”
Podesta said, “What do you think we’re doing, Buffalo Face? Now go get me some coffee and don’t speak again unless you’re spoken to. You know the rules in the big house. And I’m sick of seeing pubic hairs all over the place!”
The last time the Russian navy was battle tested was WW2. Other than sinking a couple of unarmed refugee ships carrying thousands of civilians, they didn’t accomplish much except provide the German navy with some realistic target practice in the Baltic. They also launched the only amphibious landing of WW2 that was repulsed with heavy losses.
Same for their subs. They always station an ocean-going tug with deep-dive rescue equipment in the areas their subs operate, “just in case”.
Doesn’t that sort of defeat the idea of a submarine being stealthy?
