Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner Presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump deliver remarks at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York City.
This is for the children...this time they raised 6 million dollars for the children. That is good, a new high for this dinner.
I do not know how much more this charity could do, in terms of the money raised, but as I watched and looked over the guests, Pols and other elites, my thought was that There were many, maybe a hundred or so, who could have given one million each and not missed it. We know that is true of the nominees and several others, such as Bloomberg.
I also do not know how much, percentage-wise, gets to the 'children'. My guess is that most of it does what it is intended to do.
What makes you say he went over the line, and that this was not the place for it?
.I see in your photo Oprah’s girlfriend two rows above Hillary. She also huddled briefly with Hillary making her way down from the table.
Oh, you’re definitly awake now. True that. This has been coming for 50 years, but it’s here now. We teach what we tolerate.
Did Dolan get his apology?
Whoa! Helluva picture!
Thank you. Surely someone will do a write up including designed and price
Another thread referrs to Hilkary’s ensemble as a house coat
Title that one; “Hillarys’ Not Very Good Night”. YIKES!
It was the perfect place for wrecking the china. The Dinner was not on holy ground, but the Waldorf Astoria, right?
There could not be an institution in worse shape than the United States, unless it is the Western Catholic Church, both collapsing before our eyes. Go figure.
TRUMP is fighting the wreckage. Let him battle where he must.
Am I dreaming or did we just witness a man who has had enough of the phony BS in that room with people who two years ago sucked up to him. Way to go Donald.

That is exactly what we witnessed. Boom!
In the movies the hero gives this speech and everyone comes to their senses.
No such luck in reality.
I heard on TV this afternoon that he did not.
Leni
THAT IS HILLARIOUS!
“.many of those people were his friends....and they’ve bad mouthed him awful.....that really did hurt him, so to walk into that cesspool was courageous.”
That is exactly what I saw in his heart tonight.
Hillary being without Bill gave her an edge of “sympathy” from the elites there...my guess is Bill isn’t helping her with all his baggage coming into play so they’re pulling him out of these functions now that it’s going down to the wire.
But we need to remember that Bill quite frankly stated that this was Hillary’s win to get right from the start, and he would ‘NOT’ be campaigning for her unless she ran into difficulty toward the end......well they brought him out very early on because she was in trouble and he’s been on the trail with her right along....
So this race didn’t go how they planned at all.....even so they knew Bills issues would be a serious problem....so it’s no surprise to Hillary she has to take this the rest of the way alone..and should!
You totally nailed the call.
Like I said.
I never saw it coming.
I had to run out of my house while he was doing it.
I love this man, he fights!

Bray,
He didn’t say that did he?
Either way, that’s a good one!
Indeed.....not certain what I think of that shot....perhaps Hillary putting on a little female charm LLOLOLOL...hoping he’ll be nice to her. Who knows... but as you said it is a “Helluva picture!”
