The specific command and control systems for the "go code" are totally dependent on people to initiate them (imagine odumbo looking for his aide with the "football" or more like the aide looking for him on the golf course). Therefore the response time is totally dependent on the command authority's decision time.

After receipt and processing of the code, individual weapons systems process the signal uniquely and that time is certainly classified.

I'm guessing by your moniker, that receiving a valid command via ELF would take much longer than landline or MF/VHF/UHF. BUFFs would be in the air before a boomer would even have the complete EWO.

She IS talking response time, and that is a measurement of capability, and highly classified.

Sure, people can guess the response time, and China, and Russia, probably have very good estimates, but there is a difference when a former SOS spouts it out.

My biggest issue with the whole thing is the EXTREME level of incompetence it implies. She made this comment to seem Presidential! How stupid/incompetent is that!
