During Wednesday nights presidential debate, Chris Wallace held Hillary Clintons feet to the fire over allegations that the Clinton Foundation engaged in pay-for-play behavior when she served as secretary of state.
There have been a lot of developments over the last ten days since the last debate, Wallace posed. Id like to ask you about them. These are questions that the American people have, Secretary Clinton, during your 2009 Senate confirmation hearing, you promised to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest with your dealing with the Clinton Foundation while you were Secretary of State.
Emails show that donors got special access to you, he continued. Can you really say you kept your pledge to that Senate committee, and what happened and what went on between you and the Clinton Foundation? Why isnt it what Mr. Trump calls pay to play?
Well, everything I did as secretary of state was in furtherance of our countrys interests and our values, Clinton responded. The State Department said that.
Clinton then listed what she described as all the good the Foundation does across the world before Wallace interrupted her.
Secretary, respectfully, this is an open discussion, Wallace noted. A specific question went to pay for play. Do you want to address that?
She did not.
My thoughts on tonight’s debate, the 3rd presidential debate:
Supreme Court:
2nd Amendment: Trump absolute support, as intended by the founders. Clinton uses all sorts of legaleze against it.
Partial Birth Abortion (ie. the horrible dismemberment/killing of nine month term babies in the wonud): Trump absolutely against it saying it should never happen. Clinton absolutely for it.
Immigration:
Trump for controlled borders, modern, workable wall, finging. fighting and ridding the cuntry of the Mexican cartels, deportation of illegals, must come in legally. Halt to Syrian/Mid-east refugees who cannot be vetted.
Clinton for open amnesty, open borders, huge increase to mid-east/Syrian refugees, etc.
Taxation:
Clinton for a massive tax increase, including (though they did not quote her tonight) on the middle class. Huge increase on corporation (whih will drive more jobs away). Furhter destroy the free economic engine of this country. Massive public works/government prgrams for jobs.
Trump massive tax cut to corporation to draw them and their jobs back to America. Also a tax decrease to all, to genergate more small business. Restart the free economic engine of this country.
Obama Care:
Clinton. Keep it but make it even stronger and “better”.
Trump, repeal and replace it with a market drvien strategy, openining state borders to all who want to provide care across those borders.
In General:
Clinton clearly wants to, and would be proud to, double down on Obama’s policies. She is a marxist and wwatns to institute absolute marxust poilicies on American whole grain
Trump is an American entrepreneaur who wants to restart the free market and undertstands that if he can do that, the market will grow massively and when coupled with sound fiscal policy and spending, will resolve the debt, unemplyment, growth, the GDP, etc.
Trump trully wants to and is serious about making American Great again. He believe it.
The naysayers said al the same things about Reagan, how his economics could not work. I lived through it. It was th strngest econmic period for the country in my life and really saved a faltering nation in the eraly 80s...this nation.
Trump will do the same if the American people can see through the flim-flam men supporting the DNC, the MSM, and the RINOs.
I pray they can, and that God in Heaven allows their already obvious anger and frustration with life-long, establishment politicians and their lies, and ploys...to move them to choose the right on November 8th and make Donald Trump our next Prsident wth Mike Pence as his VP.
He will probably be forced to retire by the politburo after that question .
Someone on here had been posting a while ago that the Clinton Foundation stuff was going to be unleashed at some point and it was going to take down the whole Democratic Party.
I’d like to know if that person still knows this to be the case, or have we heard all we’re going to hear about this?
Correction: he held her hooves to the fire.
I always enjoy reading your reasoned posts. We need more freepers like you, keep it up.
Thanks. BUMP!
Great post, Jeff.
Very good Jeff, always enjoy your posts. Glad God saw fit to Bless us here after all you have been Through. He is good and Pray were not so bad and He Blesses us with Trump.
Was it just me, or did anyone else notice that Wallace carried a tone about him throughout the entire debate that would make you think he was literally fearing for his life?
He looked and acted like a little chi-wawa in a bathtub full of ice!
Good objective summary!
Are we shocked that Chris Wallace did the job he did? I am, that’s for sure. By far the best moderator and really the only one who made any attempt to be “fair and balanced”, so to speak.
Agree, great post Jeff.
BTTT
She said 90% of her funds go to various causes.
I have heard it was the other way around. 10% went to causes.
The people in Haiti could tell us a thing or two...
She has no problem lying at all.
I wasn’t shocked, because I expected it. Chris Wallace works after all for the only cable News channel that is Fair and Balanced. The others can not claim that.
“She has no problem lying at all.”
That was my first thought - Hitlery the Harridan has been lying since she was on the Watergate Commission and got fired for lying and disrespecting the Constitution.
She is so practiced at lying that I’d wager she could pass a lie detector test - IOW, Hitlery the Harridan is a sociopathic liar!
But, then, we all knew that, didn’t we?
The question is, do enough voting age Americans know that and will they vote against her?
We’ll find out in three weeks.
Not to be nit picky, but in this case it’s fun. Only 5.7% of the money collected by the Clinton Foundation is actually used towards charitable causes.
Those charity watchdogs Hillary boasted about? Charity Watch won’t even score the Foundation. It’s considered too atypical of a business model.
I couldn’t believe she had the audacity to mention Haiti after the way the Clintons robbed the place blind. Funding AIDS medicines? Hah. They palmed off watered down versions of actual AIDS meds, making people sicker or dead.
good analysis.:)
