Christian leader Franklin Graham defended Donald Trump on Friday after a week of unvetted allegations by the liberal media by Hillary Clinton supporters.
Franklin reminds Christians this election is not about Donald Trumps actions from 11 years ago or Hillary Clintons many lies. This election is about the future of the Supreme Court and religious freedom.
From Franklins Facebook page:
A lot of people are slamming evangelicals for supposedly giving Donald J. Trump a pass. Thats simply not true. No one is giving him a pass. Im certainly not, and Ive not met an evangelical yet who condones his language or inexcusable behavior from over a decade ago. However, he has apologized to his wife, his family, and to the American people for this. He has taken full responsibility. This election isnt about Donald Trumps behavior from 11 years ago or Hillary Clintons recent missing emails, lies, and false statements. This election is about the Supreme Court and the justices that the next president will nominate. Evangelicals are going to have to decide which candidate they trust to nominate men and women to the court who will defend the constitution and support religious freedoms. My prayer is that Christians will not be deceived by the liberal media about what is at stake for future generations.

Graham nails it.
It’s about the Supreme Court. Personally, I think Trump is innocent of charges, but beyond that we get to choose between the blood guilt of abortion, the loss of self-protection rights, and Clinton’s great desire to start a war.
YOU nailed it.
ANYONE who says that s/he hasn't any skeletons in the closet is a BOLD-FACED LIAR. Knowing WHO has the record of BOLD-FACED lying in her life it's not surprising to hear her spiel.
ANYONE who is FOR abortion is on Satan's side.
Righto, I’m an issues voter and I agree with Trump on the issues. What Trump did 10 years ago is what Trump did 10 years ago.
[A lot of people are slamming evangelicals for supposedly giving Donald J. Trump a pass.]
Calling all EVANGELICALS and CATHOLICS! Stand together! The differences between DONALD TRUMP and HILLARY CLINTON are as clear as day. We’re dealing with:
GOOD vs EVIL.
FREEDOM vs SLAVERY.
RICHES vs POVERTY.
MORALITY vs PERVERSION.
GOD vs NO GOD.
DONALD TRUMP/MIKE PENCE 2016
I think we also need to make the point that we aren’t simply voting for POTUS, we are voting for a team. The various cabinet secretaries possess enormous authority, too. I get all the arguments about Trump’s immorality, but would my fellow Christians rather have men like Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee in the cabinet or the anti-American leftist cretins Hillary would appoint?
Graham nails it.

Is Trump good for America? I mentioned Sunday that I would speak on this next week. Unfortunately, I found that I was shoehorning this topic into my planned message. To properly present what I want to speak on Sunday, I may have to leave the Donald out of it! But let me take a minute for those that wonder and give some of my thoughts.
When I first heard that Trump (DT) was entering the race last year, I told my wife that perhaps it was a good thing for the party and America. I knew that he was not a “saint,” but I thought that he would be like a bull in a china shop. He is a disrupt-er and I believe America could use a fresh thinker especially in the political arena. I didn’t think he would get the nomination, but that he would shake up politics as usual. I was correct on the shaking up!
Lance Wallnau likens him to a biblical Cyrus. Someone who is dynamically used of God even though not perceived by many as a God follower. God has used many people in history that I would probably not like or agree with. Im not sure I would have liked all the disciples, or David, or Moses. Somehow, God did not seem compelled to consult with me on His choices!
I have always admired Winston Churchill. He is seen as one of the greatest national leaders in the 20th century. Last year, I had the privilege of going through the War Museum in London. Winston is a key feature. His life is controversial. He was not always celebrated as a great leader. He was a bombastic, cigar smoking, at times crude, even misogynistic leader. It is alleged that he told off color stories to his children before bedtime! A woman once told him he was disgustingly drunk. His response was “My dear, you are disgustingly ugly, but tomorrow I shall be sober and you will still be ugly!”
There are many websites that discuss the outlandish comments and activities of this great world leader. But, he had exactly what was needed to stop Hitler at the Channel, to rouse a nation to never give up and to partner with America to find final victory in Europe. You probably wouldn’t want him as your pastor, maybe not even your father, but he was the right leader for that moment in England’s history. Such a brazen man that would go up to the roof of his quarters in central London and smoke cigars as Hitlers air force bombed all around him. Im not sure I would have voted for him.... but he was the right man!
I think it would be awesome to have a righteous leader, one that understood the intricacies of the economy, health care, defense, immigration, with great sensitivity to religious institutions, a heart for the poor, a vision for the future. If that leader was a praying person, formidable in the word of God and loved the local church, I would rejoice! I do not think that is the choice we will have in November.
Instead....we will look for someone who is imperfect, yet will fit the times we are living in. Particularly, that whoever we vote for, will be someone who might possibly have the opportunity to appoint up to three Supreme Court justices. That could radically shape our culture in America for the next 30 years. The America of our grandchildren could be very different....and that may not be good. We cannot stand on the sidelines. A non-vote is a passive vote for a direction we may very well regret.
So...is Donald Trump good for America? I honestly believe that he has been already. He has shaken the political system. Do his comments offend me? At times! Do I agree with all he says? Not at all! But could he be a Cyrus being raised up by God to preserve America? Nobody liked Gen. Patton, but he sure WAS an instrument of the United States for the right things.
This I know. I will vote for the best chance for America. I will pray for our leaders as I have already. In the end - God will continue to be my source and my hope. I do believe that God has had a hand in America’s history. I hope and pray that He will also have a saving hand in Americas future.
I shudder when I think of the caliber of HILLARYS APPOINTEES.
GOD help us.
There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

This should keep us up at night.
If Hillary were to win, she would appoint the Scalia replacement.
Scalia’s replacement would likely sit on the Supreme Court until 2042.
Hillary will appoint a replacement for Ginsburg and that person will sit not the Court until maybe 2048.
Hillary will appoint the Kennedy successor and that judge could sit on the Court until 2050.
The Breyer replacement would also sit on the Court until the middle of the 21st century.
Meanwhile, by the end of a Hillary first term in office, Justice Thomas will be 72 years old.
Catholic Ping!
This is getting interesting.
Two archbishops speaking out and now Graham.
May the number of religious leaders increase in their denunciation of Hillary and endorsement of Trump!!
We must stand together!!
Who in their right mind would vote for someone who has already indicated they are anxiously looking forward to exorcising the 2nd Amendment via Executive Order and appointing far left leaning judges to the Supreme Court? That’s a life time appointment and will affect our country for at least the next 40 years.
Glad I’m old.
Thank you, God Bless You and AMEN, Franklin Graham.
Very significant that Franklin Graham has publicly stated the urgency of voting Never-Hillary. As a Catholic, I have had conversations with other Catholic friends since the WikiLeaks dump of Clinton’s team’s true opinions of us and Evangelicals. Their disgusting intents hit home hard and will tilt the balance if the hierarchy continues to speak about it. So far, some have! Cavuto just had a Catholic priest on and blasted the democrats intents as demonic, in need of exorcism.
I am not foolish enough to think this will get any MSM airplay but it is very encouraging leaders like Graham and Archbishop Chaput are blasting a strong Never-Hillary message. Just as effective as Pro-Trump, the message and its impact is getting out!
Graham & Jeffress are awesome pastors.
“Glad Im old.”
LOL!! You have no idea how many times my husband and I say that now.
We add, “Glad we don’t have kids or grandkids.”
