Really, you seem to be the one who doesn’t comprehend the difference between a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, a form used to prove citizenship for the children of citizens born abroad and the Mexican consulate cards which cannot be used to obtain a REAL ID.
I’m as upset as you are about the way politicians have corrupted the system to issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens but that is a separate issue from REAL ID.
Will politicians ensure that illegals can get some form of ID including a drivers license? Of course they will. But whatever they do issue will not be REAL ID and it will not get them into the places (like a plane) that a REAL ID will.
If you have REAL ID, then you have proven your citizenship and your identity. If you want to get rid of the illegals, then you’ll have to do a couple of things. Elect Trump and implement some form of citizenship ID.
Consular card gets you a valid California I.D.
Who needs to use the Consular card after that?
