Watched Hannity and the comment was made that Trump needs to buy ads and spend big to win. Doug Schoen opinion was that Trump is not serious because he is not spending money. First off I think he is VERY serious. But is he spending money and if not why not? He is not a stupid man. Thoughts? I shutter to think what a Clinton presidency means for this nation.
” Jury is still out on whether Trump wants what we want.”
I want two things:
(1) better climate for businesses in America
(2) stop the flood of unscreened 3rd world immigrants
If Hillary and Trump switched their positions on the issues, I’d vote for Hillary.
I hope the money not being spent on ads is being invested in the ground game, because that is what is needed to defeat the Machine.
I don’t watch much television, but I see zero Trump ads here in Western NY. THere isn’t even anything to speak of from the Clinton team either. Few lawn signs for either side.
My take is that Trump is not going to spend money on TV ads to give money to his enemies. He’s trying a more direct approach and sidestepping the media.
We’ll see if it works.
Perhaps you are forgetting one thing re hrc ad buys.
You can’t shine $h1t.
“Doug Schoen?” OPINION?
This “self-appoint” political genius hates Trump. I can’t stand to see that sniveling little worm of a man offer his grandiose and pompous advice to Trump. I grit my teeth every time I see and hear him spew verbal vomit at the “ignorant and stupid one” Donald Trump (in his opinion).
The “political maggot” has never worked at a meaningful job in his life and he is telling someone with “real world” experience what to do? Can’t stand to look at him nor hear him!
I would check the station ad buys in the targeted battleground states. Like Pennsylvania, Ohio, NC, etc. Wouldn’t make sense to spend in, say Vermont.
You must work for the government!
And, as it relates to this story, spending money on political adds isn’t going to generate new revenue.
It’s a waste of money. See JEB!
Just watched that Hannity episode and pretty much everyone agreed that he needs to start buying air time.
My prediction is that he will have TV ads but is going to do them at opportune times, like the season premiere of walking dead, NFL playoff games etc. Most bang for the buck.
Do you mean shudder?
I am pretty frikking old and I don't even watch TV. My son, 15, has never in his life watched TV. He doesn't even "get" why people ever did. He says it's lame.
I have not seen one political ad all year.
Aside from people over 50, who exactly are these ads going to be aimed at?
You're right. We're on vacation and we're forced to watch tv at times cause we don't have all our toys. I can't believe all the political ads. But I realized we haven't watched ad tv for probably at least 6 or 7 years.
You said this: “I shutter to think what a Clinton presidency means for this nation.”
But you meant to say this: “I shudder to think what a Clinton presidency means for this nation.”
It’s shudder not shutter in this context. I tried to send this as a private reply but my account was too new for that feature.
Yes I was already called out on that. I apparently was asleep at the wheel on that one
