Trump accuser says "he lifted the armrest and started to grope me" Supposedly this took place in first class in 1984. I have been searching images and can't find any first class seats then or now where the armrest goes up. I don't fly first class ever and have never paid attention. What say all of you?
FIRST CLASS last October.
No adjustable arm rests. it’s like a comfortable recliner. they dont have movable arm rests.
I am sure this kind of thing happens all the time in first class. Back in coach, I never saw two strangers engaging in and form of unwanted sexual assault.
7 million miles? Is that all, I expect we have flown together at some time>>as I live in the air too..smile.....
Who said rape?
I fly Delta first class whenever I can and there is kind of a table between the seats. No armrest.
Yeah, back when I was a young cute waitress, some jerk put his hand on my belt buckle, my right hand came down so hard that the pencil I had for taking orders went all the way through his hand.
He started calling me all kinds of names before being kicked out of there.
My husband has been flying for the past 40 years and usually in first class. I just asked him if the armrest moves and without skipping a beat he said NO.
I upgraded to first class a lot in the late 80’s and 90’s when frequent flyer status and points actually meant something. You had your own Chair, with armrests that didn’t move...The seat next to you was not attached.
btt
The first time I flew first class was in 1988. I was embarrassed because I couldn’t find the tray and as I recall, it came up from the center of the two seats and pivoted over across your lap for dining. I think it doubled as an arm rest. When the flight attendant asked me if I would like the Chateaubriand, I responded, “I don’t care for wine.” So don’t pay a lot of attention to me......
I found this 1984 United Airlines commercial featuring their first-class service on YouTube.
At the :41 second mark there is a shot that shows the arm rest; it looks too wide to fit between the seat up-backs.
The plane featured in the commercial is a 747; I don’t believe the plane this alleged incident took place is identified.

It’s a pocket into which a table top fits.
