NBC execs had a plan to time the release of the Donald Trump audio to have maximum impact on both the 2nd presidential debate and the general election ... sources connected with the network tell TMZ.
Multiple sources connected with NBC tell us ... top network execs knew about the video long before they publicly said they did, but wanted to hold it because it was too early in the election. The sources say many NBC execs have open disdain for Trump and their plan was to roll out the tape 48 hours before the debate so it would dominate the news cycle leading up to the face-off.
As we reported, Billy Bush was bragging about the tape -- in front of NBC execs at the Rio Olympics -- in early August. NBC says it's only known about the tape for a little more than a week.
We're told the plan was to edit the tape to keep the focus on Trump and not Billy. "Access Hollywood" we're told was not going to air the portion where Trump and Billy got off the bus and Billy goaded Trump and the soap star to hug. Our sources say the tape was going to be "sanitized" to protect Billy as much as possible.
Case in point ... after The Washington Post ran the story, 'Access' aired their footage and cut out the parts where Billy looked worse -- saying things like, "Jeez! Your girl's hot as s*** in the purple!"
We've told you the plan got derailed by Hurricane Matthew. Execs decided the wall-to-wall coverage of the storm would mess up the plan to dominate the news with the Trump tape, so they were going to hold it until Monday. It didn't sit well with some staffers who wanted it out pre-debate, so it was leaked to the Washington Post.
As one source put it, "NBC really screwed Billy. They had no problem with him on the tape 'till it got leaked." The source goes on to say there was never a peep about disciplining Billy until the full tape got leaked.
Dug into their personal lives, caught them doing various things, saying various things and DESTROYED them.
I've been saying this. They want to take potshots at one side in the war, they need to soak up some return fire.
We should have been trying to destroy their staff, assault their finances, wreck their legal authority to operate, sue the sh*t out of them for all and sundry offenses, and punch them in the mouth whenever an opportunity presents itself.
Silencing/Muting the voices of half the population should result in some serious consequences.
All agencies are infested with career politicians disguised as public servants and the last goal of their agenda is to serve the public.
Absolutely. Shut down entire departments, and root out socialists in the remaining ones.
The fury needs to come down on them.
Why don’t Trump hold massive demonstrations outside MSM offices?

“OK FOLKS...
The real news here isnt that NBC Execs colluded to bring down Trump. We expected something like that.
Its that TMZ, seen by millions of low-info sheeple daily, IS COVERING THIS!!!!”
Exactly!!!!
And now its crystal clear, that the msm had the tape from months ago & waited till now to dump it; this puts the msm in a very bad light.
The TMZ viewers will also be wondering why it was let loose early ...
And that leads to them looking at the wikileaks coming out.
>>Like him or loathe him, but Ted Cruz warned about this during the primary. He said the media was holding back on what they had on Trump till after the convention.
That’s hardly a secret. It’s called the October Surprise. I wonder what their October Surprise would have been if Cruz had been the nominee?
Have courage. Progressives of both parties will not vote for a non-Progressive. Ever! They tell us to hold our noses and vote for the GOProgressive, but they do not reciprocate. If we win this, it will be on the votes of real true, blue Americans only and not the elitist Euro-fag Progressives or the greedy Gibsmedats.
Bull sh*t! It was Cruz, who just like the media, tried to blame Trump for the Chicago violence, all perpetrated by the illegals, anarchist, rioters, black racist and assorted socialist. All of this while the media fanned the flames, giving Cruz a front page platform to spew his BS.
Spit*
Technically, my understanding is that the applicable law would be that this timed video release designed to hurt a candidate’s chance constitutes a de facto campaign contribution to the other candidate. As such, since the economic value is much higher that the $2,500 limit (since it is the equivalent of hours of free campaign advertising), this would be an illegal campaign contribution.

“Well if we had an independent FCC with ethics and morals (yes I know...) then there would be serious questions about allowing nbc to continue to operate. If we can boycott the nfl effectively, then we can also boycott nbc.
If Trump wins, he should issue an “executive order” to raid the offices of NBC and shut down all operations, and then use their own transmitting equipment to accuse them of violating RICO statutes, colluding to manipulate a Federal Election, Discriminating in their hiring process, and violating any other law of which I could think.
We need to start cutting off heads. Till we start cutting off some heads, they aren’t going to get the message.”
I was thinking RICO on the msm, and throw the book at them.
The media influencing an election. And Hillary is complaining about Russia trying to influence the election? What a hypocrit!! This is the type of things we would expect from a banana republic. Is this what we’ve become. The MSM is a disgrace!
Not sure which was released first, the tape or the DAMNING Wikileaks release but it is quite OBVIOUS why the tape was released when it was.
HOW MUCH DID TEAM HILLARY PAY BILLY BUSH FOR THE HIT ON TRUMP? He knew he would lose his job, so.. HOW MUCH DID HILLARY PAY HIM?
Yup. It's time for them to find out what happens to people who try to meddle in elections.
This does PROVE to the public and vindicate Trump about the MSM!!!
this would be an illegal campaign contribution
Sounds like a start to a plan!!!
And who knows what they have on Cruz.
If this is all they had on Trump, it’s a huge yawn. If Ted knows about something else, he either needs to get it out now or warn Trump about it.
All of this gamesmanship about releasing info on the most damaging schedule possible sickens me. Memo to the media and both parties: Take your October surprise and shove it.
I know HUNDREDS of men who have said things similar to what Trump said (some right here on FR). I know ZERO men or women who have committed the kinds of crimes that Hitlery has committed.
What is wrong with people that they can’t see there is NO COMPARISON between Trump’s words and Hitlery’s actions? They are not equivalent. They are not even close.
“I think if Trump loses our next move will be cleartotal boycott of all network TV, not just individually, but as a political movement. If they take us down we will have to reciprocate.”
I agree, but I think the way to do it is to go after their advertising revenue. Make it clear that any product advertised on those networks (particularly the news) will be boycotted. If advertising causes a decrease in sales, instead of an increase, even if it’s only a 5-10% drop in profits for those companies (could be much more), they will think twice about advertising on the networks. Once advertising revenue drops, the networks will feel the pain they’ve been causing others.
How come they are not arrested for attempting to influence the election?
Reporting on news that just happen is one thing, but holding back on a story until the most harmful moment is another.
In a way, P*** Ryan may have saved Trump, in his rush to hurt him he released the tape too early and Trump may recover.
This is very serious. Although many assume that the media is biased. To have concrete documentation that the media is influencing the election is very serious.
