I've never accepted pressure to vote for a person because they were "in my party." Plenty of posters here try to shame me into voting for Collins and Snowe. screw them. I just "unfriend" the posters as bullies.

No, Haven’t had any messages from Microsoft and I’m on a Microsoft Surface running Windows 8.
You were right to be wary of the message - I don’t recall getting anything like that. And, IIRC that’s not something they normally do. I got a call a few months ago from what sounded like a call center in India and the guy told me I had to update Windows, he would do it for me and it would cost me $x. I asked why I would want to do that when I could update for free. He got into a big sales pitch (almost but not quite argumentative). He and I went back and forth for a few minutes, then when I told him I was perfectly capable of downloading sw from the Internet and I didn’t think he was offering any services for the $$s, he went into a bigger sales pitch. I finally cut him off when I said I used to work for Microsoft and know this is not the way they do business, he hung up.
I suspect you have automatic updates from Microsoft turned on - make sure you do as it helps prevent security and other issues.

I suspect b/c his district is small, his family has been there a long time, and he is Speaker, it gives them a sense of notoriety that they like.
For those that missed it, Louie Gohmert was on F&F this a.m. talking about the con call with Pubbie “leadership”, including Ryan. Sounds like Ryan, et al might have gotten an earful, from 11 of the 12 Reps that were on the call. Louie wasn’t always on the Trump Train, but I think he made some good points. I’ve said many times before, I think he might be a good choice for SCOTUS or perhaps another federal court (as I think most of you know, he used to be a judge.

Bill Mitchell was tweeting yesterday from college students that stated the event (they attended) was maybe half of the numbers that media was putting out.
It can hurt for a short while, but in the end, we realize that these people were never truly our friends. As Dolli said, we will find new and better friends who share our love of country, liberty, and truth.

You can’t much cuter than that sweet little angel. I even thought it was cute when he put the finger in his nose - that’s what kids that age often do (I remember my nephew doing it). I bet his parents were beaming with pride. For someone that small to be held by a stranger and look out to a sea of people and the loud noise was just awesome! Most, or at least many, kids that age would not have done it - he was amazingly composed! Kudos to his parents. I was wondering if and hoping that they all got to go backstage for pictures, etc. after the event.
