Drinking and certainly being drunk in the Mormon faith is strictly forbidden. This goes against the fundamental teachings of the Mormon faith.
On the other hand, Sen. Crapo cannot bear to support Trump because his high ethics and standards would not allow it. He can sneak around and get smashed and lie to his faith and that is OK I guess. As a matter of fact if he had not been caught with a DUI, he would still be preaching morality just as he cheats and deceives his fellow Mormons.
Double standards are everywhere aren't they?
What Crapo-la!

So driving drunk won’t impair your Temple recommend, but supporting Trump will?

Crapo is on record as saying that in light of Trump’s naughty words, he will not support or endorse Trump. Wasn’t there also McCain’s gorilla rape joke too. But wait that is all ok if they do it!

Great writing there. He will be paid a $250 fine? This could encourage more drunk drivers IMHO. :)
What you said about ethics and double standards - TRUE.

Look, his name is Crapo, doesn’t that say it all?
To: GilGil
Crapo, a Mormon who has said he does not drink alcohol, was arrested on December 23 in Alexandria, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C. His blood alcohol was recorded at 0.14...There's a fair piece between saying you don't drink to blowing a 0.14. UT, send Crapo home.

Since The Donald doesn’t drink, maybe he should try and rehabilitate this piece of Crap!

This phony cult member also lied about his drinking. Blowing in at almost two the legal limit requires more than one Jell-O shot or rum ball

Heard from the pulpit: "Yes, there are hypocrites here in church. But I prefer them to the hypocrites found in bars."
I guess Crapo has both sections covered.
