If you want a different nominee then you need to vote in the primary. Trumps supporters were motivated. The rest were not.

A problem that would have to be dealt with, first, is the current dominance of chruchian CINOs who use Christianity like a social club and force their congregations into outright worship of mammon through supposed ‘reforms’ for social acceptance.

Isn’t it Trump or the highway at the moment? Like others, I’m really getting tired of the concern trolling and limp wristed Republicans and conservatives who are running for the doors. Don’t like Trump, fine, vote for Hillary. Want to embarrass yourself, I guess you can join Ryan, Lyn’ Ted, and the others. It’s a small group, maybe Beck and Kristol can comfort you.

Churchill said, "Do not hesitate to raise up a flawed man if the circumstances require it."

The circumstances ALWAYS require it, evidently.

Trump has become a born-again Christian by recently receiving Jesus Christ according to reliable sources like Dr. James Dobson, so the premise seems to be a bit off.

This time around we had 16 Cheap Labor Express Republicans promising “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” or Trump.

Anyone can run in the primary, and then we pick a winner. Plenty of committed Christians have run in the primary, and some have won the nomination. Bush served two terms. Santorum, Huckabee, Cruz and others have fallen short in the primary. They simply were not the best candidates.

Personally, I’ve backed McCain and Romney in the general against my better desires, but they won and were the best choice in the general. Trump dominated this field in 2016, and he promises to bring great change to a broken Washington. I am fine with that. In fact more than fine.

Hard to argue against that - except to say that
  1. Jimmy Carter was a terrible president, and

  2. As Rush just pointed out, “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

The Pharisees in modern politics - including even some RINOs -
would be after Jesus Christ if He were the Republican nominee.

The media are traitors to the Republic. Some of them even got bail outs...so guess who their loyalties lie with? Certainly not the Republic or the People.

Didn’t work with W.
Didn’t work with Carter.
Perhaps we need more than one criteria.

But consider this: These Trump tapes weren’t recently leaked or discovered. The networks have been sitting on them since the primaries.

We do not know who was sitting on them... this release was certainly timed, but who did the timing... I strongly suspect that the Bushes, Romney, Ryan and the rest of the never-Trumpers had something to do with it. I think that this may have been a traitorous coup attempt that failed badly.

The problem is the so called Christians who ran (like Cruz) are not really Christians in their behavior. They make us look bad too. I would love to see a real Christian run and run a Christian campaign instead of trading on the name of Christ like Cruz, but I have not seen one yet.

Look, I'm still voting for Trump. The alternative is just too damned horrifying. And like Churchill said, "Do not hesitate to raise up a flawed man if the circumstances require it."

The most in-your-face Christian President we've had in modern times was Jimmuh Carter. Churchill, whom you quoted was not much of a Christian. He was brought up in the Church of England, but was indifferent toward it and he never invoked the help of God in his speeches. And he was the greatest man of the 20th century.

Voters screened through several “Christians” this time, but did not give that a high priority.

Santorum, Huckabee, Cruz, Bush among a few of the “Christians.”

GW Bush and Jimmy Carter were “Christians.”

I saw something (article? leaked email?) where the Clinton campaign wanted a ‘populist’ candidate like Trump or Carson, not a politician, to win the nomination because they thought they would be easier to defeat .... you know, ILLary’s competence, experience, ability to regurgitate talking points, miles of airplane travel, etc. vs some political neophyte. I believe that is why tapes like what was released Friday, have not been used before now - Trump was expected to implode on his own long before October and the 2nd debate and he is only now seen as a legitimate threat (polls too close, etc.).

What they didn’t count on with Trump early on in the campaign is not only the rage of voters tired of RINO/GOPe milquetoasts-voter ignoring-Obama enablers, but that no other politician* on the Republican primary stage had/has the courage to do what Trump is doing, nor would they have if they ginned up a nad. This 2016 election would have been a “Romney rollover” repeat without Trump.

*Fellow non-politician Ben Carson might have the courage, but not the temperament or delivery of Trump to express it forcefully/effectively

So, no Christian man talks like that in private?

People are flawed and those who flaunt their “Christian”, as we have seen time and time again, are just as flawed as the rest of us if not more so. Virtually all politicians say they are Christian, so that puts people in the position of debating who is more Christian than the other person ... a no win argument as no one can be a definitive judge of that except God.

Also, we had a good Christian man as president. Jimmy Carter. He wasn’t very good as a President.

You seem to think we are still a Christian nation...?

We have a veneer of one, underneath nothing of the sort...

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior could run for POTUS and not win...

The media would call HIM too religious...
