They chose the mudslinging road and there is a ton more mud that could be slung at the Clintons from all directions so this is a stupid road to continue down.
That was then.
I’ve kept up with a few people. Some have gay adult children. Some married hated minorities and now have bi-ethnic kids. Most became liberals.
My favorite anecdote was when the biggest Mean Girl bully of my childhood told someone in the early 1990s, “I wish I’d been nicer to her.”
I’ve had a life full of ups and downs, like most of us. Conservative heterosexual Christians have had a crash course in discrimination these past years. At this point, no one still has privilege except the freaking elites and theirs is going away.
Yup...whatever Monica Lewinsky paid for that blue dress, it was the literal buy of a lifetime for her.
“Schwarzenegger means in German”
The word is a compound of Schwartzen and Egger and is not about race.
I would send it to Drudge and the Trump campaign.
> The word is a compound of Schwartzen and Egger and is not about race.
Ah. I remember hanging out with some German kids, and that was their word for Black folks. I found it off-putting, but they insisted that it was common usage.
I dunno ...
I’m with you. He knows too many people to not have something. I imagine he knows they’re going to go scorched earth on him now.
Also, note that Anderson Cooper was obviously trying to get Trump on the record as having never acted upon his bragging about sexually abusing women. You know where that’s going, right? They’ve got the accusations already lined up.
Yes Schwartze is a noun that is used (slang?) for a black person; but in this compound word schwartzen is not about race, but the word for the color black, modifying Egger which is not Negger. I had the same curiosity about his name. ; )
Thanks for the clarifications!
I know just enough German to get in trouble.
;)
If they had dynamite on him they would have used it. Anything they have on him is a pebble compared to the monumental avalanche Trump has on Hitlery. With more being leaked.

Do not give up! There is much of ordinary German vocabulary that you can likely trust yourself to understand.
Having done a lot of genealogy, I can attest that surnames and place names, which come forward from long past, are not easily translated by a modern German-English dictionary.
Ordinary text, ordinary words, do not have that handicap.
The German Press also has a lot of idiosyncracies in their reportage that cannot be readily translated into English. Na Ja!
