While I’m not a huge fan of Stern, I do recognize that he is for better or worse a fixture of New York City. In that way I think it’s nearly impossible to think that Trump (also a fixture of NYC) wouldn’t intersect with Stern at some time.

Incidentally, Megyn Kelly also had some interesting things to say on the Stern show.

I agree with you.
Heaven knows, anything goes.

RE: “I don’t find anything funny about Stern. Rather he’s a symptom of the degeneracy of America. So it’s better for an intelligent person not to associate with him.”

“He’s playing Hillary’s voters. Pull off a few more Dems for Johnson.”

Yep. They are dumb enough to do it too.

I’m sort of dismayed that Trump would even appear on Stern.

Trump used to be a semi-regular on the Stern show many years ago - I still remember his on-air feud with AJ Benza. Trump's record has been out there for a long time - I don't think he ever envisioned himself as a politician back then, so he didn't spend his time guarding everything he said in public. He spoke in public the way many men speak in private - and he's not the first celebrity to speak far more plainly than his PR guy might have liked on the Stern show - Stern is an amazing interviewer. Trump's not a hypocrite, as so many politicians are - what you see and hear is what you get from the man. What I care about are his positions on the issues, and those are more than enough to earn my vote.

Some FReepers are too literal. We need an entrance exam for FReepers.

Adam has written a lot about Trump “pacing” and leading. This appears to be what he himself doing here. He may also shortly demonstrate a “fake because” and re-endorse Trump.

You need to reread his blog. His support for Hillary was out of “self-preservation”. It was his way of saying that Hillary supporters were wild, angry people who would bodily harm him if he didn’t support her. So his “public” support was so he wouldn’t be brutalized by her supporters. His “private” position was different. This commentary is consistent with his previous statements.

I hope you are capable of understanding nuanced irony. I like Scott Adams better every time I read something new by him. He writes with tongue viciously in cheek.

You probably don’t understand irony or less than heavy handed satire and take everything quite literally. You miss a lot that the rest of us get to chuckle about.

The other day he said he was temporarily parking his vote with Johnson to avoid the “blast zone.” I think he still supports Trump and thinks he will win.

If your vote depends on which way the wind is blowing this minute instead of solid core beliefs, maybe you haven’t yet matured. Years alive on the planet does not certify maturity.

Also, Scott’s showing all the many Dems accusing Trump of “sexual assault” of their hypocrisy by reminding them that they get a “duo of abusers” by supporting the Clintons. Saying that putting the Clintons back in the White House would insult “women and every survivor of abuse” was certainly his hardest hitting line in the piece. He is trying to wake up the more braindead Dems to see how their arguments against Trump would disqualify the Clintons even more.

The funniest bit was certainly the stuff on Johnson: “To be fair, Gary Johnson is a pot head who didn’t know what Allepo was. I call that relatable.” I love his dry sarcastic wit. I’m just afraid too many of his Trump supporters won’t get it. He essentially acknowledges at the end that he went extra subtle this time.

That's most unfortunate. Stern is the embodiment of everything that's gone wrong with America and no thinking man should associate with him.
