Hillary Clinton is ahead of Donald Trump by 44-42 percent in a new national Fox News Poll. That’s a two-point edge among likely voters for Clinton. She was up by three points last week (43-40 percent) and by one point in mid-September (41-40 percent).

In the head-to-head matchup, Clinton tops Trump by 48-44 percent. It was 49-44 percent last week. Her lead is within the poll’s margin of error in both the two-way and four-way race.

I do not believe the polls. I live in upper-middle-class suburban Houston and there is no one yard sign for either candidate and here’s what i think is going on. We are all scared to say we are supporting trump because we don’t want our houses vandalized or our $50K cars keyed over bumperstickers. It wasn’t until I got out to the country did i start to see trump signed but I’ve yet to see a Hillary sign. With Obama there was a fair share and same for Romney and McCain.
Then when I’m talking to people i encounter they are all saying the same thing, They are afraid to say they are voting for trump because of fear of reprisal.
This is locker room trash talk that goes on. And I think normal people are not outraged or changing their vote.
If your voting trump there is no way you’ll just say I’ll vote for her.

Another poll that significantly undersampled independents. That is because Trump runs about 20% ahead with the independents. By not showing the male to female breakout, it is likely that they are another one that is oversampling women.

The image of Pussy meters installed across the country flashed through my mind. Its a true parallel to the carbon tax.
I see their efforts as trying to convince people that the person they don’t want is a lost cause .
There’s a book called *How to Lie with Statistics* that is VERY enlightening about how statistics are used to manipulate people.
One of the tactics is to do surveys, studies, or polls, and keep repeating them until you get the desired result. You ignore the rest of the data and publish just the one that proves your point.
So all we’re seeing is the ones they want us to see. There’s no way of finding out about polls that were conducted that showed Trump wiping the floor with Hillary. I’d guess they would vanish without a trace.
