More and more, I think demons are being invited in by unsuspecting people in our dimension and are using them as a vehicle for mayhem.
I can remember soaking my bicycle chain in gasoline to degrease it. Being a little wiser now, I'd use Dawn.
Awww! What a sweet little guy!
:(
Wholesale apostasy proves its consequence. Death and destruction.
Amen
Brings to mind the following episode of the Andy Griffith Show...
Episode title: Keeper of the Flame
Opie joins a secret club called The Wildcats and is in charge of the candle they use in their meetings. After the barn where they meet burns down, he is accused by the owner of starting the fire.
Plot:
Opie is accepted as a member of a secret society called The Wildcats after he takes a sacred oath never to reveal the club secrets. Given the job of Keeper of The Sacred Candle, Opie is fingered as the guilty party when the barn that the The Wildcats meets in is burned to the ground.
The fire was actually started by the barns owner, farmer and moonshiner Jubal Foster.
Not knowing this, Andy takes responsibility for the fire and is about to pay Foster for the value of the barn when Barney, having stumbled upon and unknowingly, consumed some of Fosters moonshine, staggers out drunk. Andy sees this and realizes that it was Jubal who started his own fire - blaming it on the boys instead. Andy arrests Jubal.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Don’t it wasn’t an act of malice but one of boys being stupid.

Oh I know, I raised two boys. The oldest was doing something to get into trouble on a daily basis from the time he was in his walker. He has a very active boy now so what comes around goes around.
Amen.
I've done my share of stupidity involving fire, flammable materials, and explosives. An in the local news incident similar to this one scared me at least to the point of always throwing the flammable liquids in small quantities and from open containers.
And I never burned down a building.
You know, if I had got caught burning a child to near-death whatever the ‘reason’ - my mother would not have called it ‘stupid.’ That word is used to excuse every type of egregious behavior - from child to old men. Maybe if we described acts like this as reckless and murderous, we’d get someplace in this culture.
Sociopaths! They should be locked away.
When I was around 10 or so I found a firecracker in the street here in New York City that hadn't gone off. So I picked it up, held it in my hand and lit it. With the fuse fast burning, I got nervous and flung it towards the street. Believe it or not, it landed right in front of a passing police car! I don't recall what they did. But I know I didn't get into any serious trouble over it. They probably just warned me not to do it again.
kind of a metaphor for America as a whole isn’t it
...I had actually recalled over the years that it had landed on the HOOD of the police car. But now think that part may not have been true, as my luck would have been through the roof bad, and thus it statistically unlikely.
You observation of the man and his gas cans speaks to the number of folks on the left hand side of the bell curve
Ashes were falling into the fumes! I walked into the station until he was done...
I read it...the mothers comments suggest that these puke kids had been abusing this youngster for some time
