After years of playing with pawns and bishops, the reigning queen of US chess finds herself in the biggest stalemate of her career.
Nazi Paikidze, 22, shook up the chess world over the weekend when the US womens champion announced shes boycotting the Womens World Chess Championship in Iran in February instead of complying with the countrys law that women cover up with a hijab. The Russian-born star, who now lives in Las Vegas, told The Post she wont budge unless FIDE the world chess federation moves the competition to a no-conflict zone or makes wearing the hijab optional.

NAZI??? OMG!!!! You can’t make this stuff up!!
Crazy name!!
Who names their kid.....
Actually, good for her!
Womens World Chess Championship in Iran ,now that’s funny
Courageous!
(What would Hillary do about her courage?)
No kidding. She would have been better off with Taquisha, or Lemonjella, or La’Janday.
Or Sue.
She could have been a girl named Sue.
She has more balls than Dokbama the Muslim eunuch.
But then again, almost every human of either sex does.
I do not blame her for boycotting the match being held in Iran. No one should have to submit to the indignity of kowtowing to the religious beliefs of a host country. Furthermore, their participation should be immediately ruled out if they make such demands.
A cute little Nazi!!!
She’s cute.
Good for her! More women need to be pushing back against this.
If I were playing, I would want to be able to watch my opponent’s eyes and mannerisms. And couldn’t an earpiece be hidden under the hijab?
She was born in Russia but her parents are Georgian. Check out her photos. She could call herself Nazi Stalin bin Laden, and I would be fine with it. LOL.
Nazi? That’s really her name??
I’m no expert, but her last name sounds Georgian to me.
I have to laugh, at first glance the way the black chess pieces were lined up against her forearm I thought she was wearing a forearm brace ala archery/bowling.
It gave me a good chuckle. Now I just feel silly.
Would it be wrong to say “Hey, that’s one cute Nazi.”
