Hurricane Matthew is big, bad and just downright scary, with iminent and sustained impacts to U.S. mainland. Florida Governor Rick Scott issued a state of emergency for all of Florida and disaster operations are activated. More than 1.5 million Floridians reside in current evacuation zones. Governor Scott has spoken with utilities across the state to ensure utilities are pre-positioned and there are no unmet needs. Multiple coastal hospitals have been evacuated. Meanwhile, feckless President Barack Hussein Obama is personally monitoring the progress of the storm.

That’s right....depends on many variables from power, to power lines down, trees to remove....and the man power to do it all....some will be waiting awhile for sure....others not so much...time will always do what it does so well...it will tell.

Michael Savage came on about a half hour ago. He seems to believe that the storm blew out to sea, there's nothing to worry about, and that admonitions to take cover or evacuate are coming from alarmists. I turned him off.

Savanna heeding 1st mandatory evacuation since 1999 for Hurricane Floyd ...they've been taking Hurricane Matthew seriously
It takes only two feet of rushing water to carry away a vehicle. This includes pickups and SUVs.

if you resolve the FireFox problem later, please FRmail me with your solution.I will, but I'm a technical idiot, so it's not likely.

Try reloading Firefox......
I gave up on Fire Fox pretty much....it’s slow and always have to fix something.....I use “SlimJet” now as I can’t use Crome on Vista anymore, which BW is the best IMO.
“SlimJet” is very much like Crome so it was easy for me to switch to that.....seems just like it in fact..it’s as fast as Crome and I’ve no problems yet.

I'm back.....it really bothers me when these guys downplay this storm....there are hundreds if not thousands who have homes underwater....no power....and may have to be hold up for days until the water ebbs away..some will wait weeks.....
These talking hosts and tv reporters don't know what to do unless there's hightened drama going on .....Hurricanes are not like Earthquakes and Tornadoes.....but the damage can and often is severe enough.
These people lost parts of their home...and others like them knee deep in water....

Oh good!....I've had more than a share of power outages but there really aren't so difficult if you're prepared to endure the inconvenience of going without for a time...... ..and it's so QUIET without the hum of everything electric!
