LAPD issues citywide tactical alert after protests erupt in South LA over fatal police shooting

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Protests erupted at a South Los Angeles intersection Sunday night not far from where a teenager died in an officer-involved shooting after police say he fled from a suspected stolen vehicle.

Shortly before 10 p.m., authorities issued a citywide tactical alert and asked protesters standing at the intersection of Western Avenue and 108th Street to disperse or they would be arrested. As the evening went on, at least four people were taken into custody. The alert was called off around midnight.

This cluster of issues will be one of the determinants of the result of the Presidential election. It is one of the keys to handing the Clinton/Kaine ticket, a crushing defeat.

I was referring to workfare. They work for their welfare. The mistake was, we brought them here. Try to imagine what Africa would be like if Europeans and Asians had never set foot on the continent. Where would they be?

The South tried that already and they weren’t worth the effort. Not even when they couldn’t get a lawyer to wipe their nose and you could use something a lot stronger than a Tazer to keep them in line. If even one got loose you had an all-out manhunt while you prayed he didn’t double back and set the house on fire or stab your wife or hold your kids hostage because he literally had nothing to lose. It also made whites lazy because they would spend 10 times the effort getting others to do something for free that they were perfectly capable of doing themselves.

Denying benefits coupled with forced labor for crimes are a marvelous incentive but please don’t think you can get any kind of productivity out of that lot with all stick and no carrot.

I have never seen it stated better or more accurately.
I lived and worked in that area for 32 years (city of Downey); my job took me into the entire LA basin.
East of the I-5 freeway it was the mexican gangs and criminals that caused the problems, west of the I-5 it was the black gangs and criminals.
It started to change about 85 or 86; the illegal alien gangs started to get stronger because of the amnesty and started forcing the black gangs out of their old territories and concentrating them into the south central/south east area.
Now the honest, good people, can only cower in their homes and hope they don't get murdered anyway. Glad I retired when I did.
