A better punishment would be to force them to work.
We did that once. That's why we're now dealing with their crap on a daily basis.
The South tried that already and they weren’t worth the effort. Not even when they couldn’t get a lawyer to wipe their nose and you could use something a lot stronger than a Tazer to keep them in line. If even one got loose you had an all-out manhunt while you prayed he didn’t double back and set the house on fire or stab your wife or hold your kids hostage because he literally had nothing to lose. It also made whites lazy because they would spend 10 times the effort getting others to do something for free that they were perfectly capable of doing themselves.
Denying benefits coupled with forced labor for crimes are a marvelous incentive but please don’t think you can get any kind of productivity out of that lot with all stick and no carrot.
