FULL TITLE - Gov. Jerry Brown Signs Bill Criminalizing Journalists Who Distribute Recordings of Abortion Providers
A bill sponsored by Planned Parenthood that criminalizes the distribution of recordings of conversations with abortion providers is now law in California. Gov. Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 1671 into law, making it illegal for journalists to distribute audio or video recordings of healthcare providers without their consent.
As the Los Angeles Times reports, Planned Parenthood pushed the bill through the legislature even though it is already illegal to make these types of recordings without authorization in California. The abortion business argued that further punishment was needed for distributing the materials.
Spearheaded by Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez (D-Los Angeles), the new law comes as Planned Parenthood is desperately attempting to suppress information regarding its baby parts scandal. Last year, undercover journalists from the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released a series of videos exposing Planned Parenthoods alleged practices of exchanging the tissues of babies it aborts for monetary consideration and altering the position of babies during abortion to maximize the chance of harvesting intact organs.

leftists—spawns of el diablo. A rude awakening lies ahead for them all.
Where are the courts?
I don’t see this passing constitutional muster even with a liberal court.
They can’t .. right now they’re only 8 .. not 9.
Which means .. it will have to wait until Donald appoints a new Justice.
Leave it to my idiot Gov to sign such a law .. depriving a man of his livelihood. James O’Keefe should not be deprived of telling the world what really goes on in the abortion industry. Especially when Planned Parenthood is just more lies and lies and lies .. like all the rest of the liberals who support Abortion.
Unconstitutional
The Peoples Republic of California.
What if one is NOT a journalist?
The timing on this law is bad for the liberals. If we end up with a Republican president, senate and house, we could have a conservative Supreme Court justice appointed. This law will be challenged all the way up the ladder. It might be the shot that undoes the abortion industry. It will still be a split decision; five/four. But several of those justices have one foot inside Death’s door.
Laws to support an agenda are like battle plans. The plan never survives first contact with the enemy.
As for The Supremes, the liberal justices who are very old should have retired early in Obama’s presidency so he could nominate more liberals. But, like liberals everywhere, they will hang on to power until God, or Satan, takes them away from it.
Notice too, how old the power-player liberals are. There appears to be no young bench-sitters being groomed to take over. Whereas the Republican bench is much younger and very active.
Censorship is one of the principle tools of the Left. They always try to silence anyone who disagrees with them.
IIRC when a case reaches SCOTUS and only an even number of judges vote on it (a vacancy on the court and a justice recuses him/herself being two possible reasons) a tie vote leaves in place the ruling of the highest court (a Circuit Court, for example) that ruled on it.So if the 9th Circuit rules against the person challenging the law and SCOTUS votes 4-4 then the challenger loses and that law becomes "Constitutional".
Of course if I'm wrong a lawyer will surely correct me here.
Moonbeam has gone off the deep end. Again.
UNREAL!
Flush It Brown won't have any trouble with Kalifornicate courts enforcing this.

Makes it easier to illegally sell butchered babies to finance a Lamborghini. No need to worry about hidden cams because it’s against the law.
A court may yet through that put. Not as hopeful about that as I used to be
