Washington Democrats’ strong bid to take control of the Senate by defeating several Republican incumbents is showing a few signs of struggling in the final weeks of the election cycle.

... with less than six weeks before Election Day, Rubio is maintaining a roughly 6-percentage-point lead. And the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is cutting back a planned advertising blitz in Florida, which includes canceling ads into early October.

I get that you didn’t read the article. My only question is how many $ are you planning to send to the Dems in order to make sure Rubio is not re-elected?

Murphy is running ads like crazy but I think I’ve only seen one add for Rubio. Murphys favorite ad is one that portrays Rubio as an extremist on abortion. Its obviously designed to dovetail with Hillarys campaign. If he can bring pro-abortion voters to the polls that benefits Hillary.

I don’t send money to politicians.
I also don’t vote for backstabbing weasels, even if they are wearing an R jersey.

I know, he has that magic R jersey on, he’s still a weasel who with Graham and McCain armed jihadis in addition to trying to give the country away to illegal aliens.

Kinda reminds me of this:

We should give these guys a chance to redeem themselves and see what they do when there is some leadership at the top.

No, we should not — they are traitors who have committed literal, constitutionally-defines, hanged-by-the-neck-until-dead Treason — despite it being generally difficult to prove Treason, it's easily done is the case of this Senate. (Here's the proof. [PDF])

Good for you. Do you ever find yourself complaining about the opponent of the candidate that you did not support?

Maybe they’re pushing him because even if he loses to Rubio they’ll get what they want in a candidate — Kind of like how at the beginning of the election-cycle it looked like the media was primed for a[nother] Clinton v. Bush election.

Another reason to stop spending is if they are assured they have the vote fraud to win...

If the Democrats take control of the Senate it will be Armageddon for the courts, even if Trump is elected President.

Under the 20th Amendment, the new Congress takes office on January 3 but the new President does not take office until January 20. That means if the Democrats retake the Senate, Senate Majority Leader Chuckie Schumer will have almost three weeks to push through confirmation of all of Obama’s nominees, from the Supreme Court to the district courts (as well as all federal agencies), and there will not be a damned thing that the Republican minority will be able to do to stop it.

When Harry Reid unilaterally abolished the filibuster for all presidential appointments other than the Supreme Court, the ONLY reason that he left Supreme Court filibusters alone is because there were no Supreme Court vacancies at the time. Schumer will unilaterally abolish the Supreme Court filibuster in the first five minutes after he takes over.

It gets worse. Scalia’s open seat is almost certainly not the only Supreme Court seat that Obama and Schumer will be able to fill. If Trump is elected President and the Democrats retake the Senate, we can expect for 80+ year old far left-wing liberal Justices Ginsburg and Breyer to announce their resignations the next day.

That way Obama can pick their replacements and Schumer can confirm them before Trump takes office. There will then be a far left-wing majority of five Obama selected Justices ruling the Court for the next 30 years. Again, there will not be a damned thing that the Republicans will be able to do to stop it.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

And as soon as he is re-elected he will be pushing for a path to citizenship (amnesty) for illegal aliens.

I agree, Marco is slime but I doubt I could ever vote for Murphy. The same for my Congressman. David Jolly (r) & Christ (d) are BOTH crooks, maybe I'll just vote Trump and leave the rest of the ballot blank.

WE NEED A NEW PARTY!!!

I'm not certain, but I believe that prior nominations expire with an outgoing Congress. Accordingly, Chuckie would have no nominees to confirm.

Can't they filibuster?

I don't know if that is the case, but it doesn't matter. Obama will still be President and can renominate all of his prior nominees on January 3, immediately after the new Senate takes office.

You are doing Trump no favor if you don’t give him a Pub Senate. Once again the Pubs will not be able to get legislation through, and Trump’s SCOTUS picks will go nowhere. I sure wouldn’t want that on my conscience.

Can't they filibuster?

When Reid was Majority Leader, he unilaterally abolished the filibuster for all presidential appointments except for the Supreme Court, which he left alone only because there were no Supreme Court vacancies to fill at the time.

Senate Majority Schumer can just as easily abolish the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees. After all of Obama's nominees are confirmed on a party line basis, he can then unilaterally reinstate the filibuster for all presidential appointments, to make it easier to block any of Trump's later nominees.

Understand how Rubio and Portman in Ohio will have “reverse coat-tail effects”. They can help Trump. They have paid/volunteer workers who will be knocking on doors, calling people on the phone to turn in an absentee ballot or show up for in-person voting. The folks they target will vote Rubio & Portman and then pull the lever for Trump. This effect is VERY important.
