It would also be conclusive if there were a video showing that Lewis still had the notes after the alleged hand-off took place. But still, it’s very fishy that he is a former NBC journalist who is now “freelancing” and seems to be part of the Clinton entourage.
I have viewed it again and think he might have been shaking Holt’s hand.
On the other hand, there are videos surfacing that show an INORDINATE amount of activity around Hillary’s podium by her entourage. How can that be explained?
Why would they do this? Sheer arrogance, utter contempt.
Hey, when you’ve gotten away with jaw-dropping crimes, and even procured immunity for your 1st string lieutenants, etc., it’s not a stretch to realize they have a strong sense of bold entitlement....in the vein of “IN YOUR FACE”.

The entire video would be helpful. Trump had some type of notepad on his podium. He left it there. Why was Hillary’s removed so quickly and why did Holt take a Bee Line towards the man with the folder? He shouldn’t have any dealings with the staff of either candidate except for the greeting.
I believe you are right. I would assume they knew each other from past associations, so it’s perfectly understandable that they would shake hands and say hello.
But that is not to say that there wasn’t something else going on, and the urgency to get control over Hillary’s papers can’t be disputed.
The video doesn’t show the hand-off of the envelope to the moderator.

Thanks. At about 1:41:20 Lewis still has the pad, a long time after the alleged hand-off to Holt. At 1:42:20 he pulls something else from the lectern, then exits with the group. Still, it needs to be determined what Lewis’s role with the Clinton campaign is, and the nature of his current connection to NBC and Holt.
I watched the debate on Fox News Channel. After the debate the cameras rolled from Trumps side of the podium toward Hillarys side. It showed the handshaking, etc... These actions would be much clearer in those videos. It remained in that position until Hillary left via her side of the stage. A clear shot would probably resolve this issue. Now to get the Fox film.

You can tell that the guy was being shifty because when he was reaching into the podium he was looking around the room instead of whatever he was reaching for.
Lester probably got it for it’s historical value. He will have th “first debate notebook of the first woman president” hanging on hos office wall.

It’s the LIGHTS on the podium - that go on JUST as she approached the podium - and OFF just after she leaves the podium - No such lights on Donald’s - (BUT they could EASILY say - she need lights to read her notes - and that’s as far as the story will go. - ( BUT, put the lights together with the SECOND guy that goes in and takes what looks like some device - electronic? - It’s something REALLY interesting out of the bottom of the podium - looks like some electronic gear - the mechanism to the mini teleprompter? - (Unless someone can track all this down - they’ll just say she needed the lights to see her notes -
the videos are out there now- let others take if now ...don’t give them the chance to write a different scenario and make everyone look foolish -
the best thing now is to wait for the next debate and have someone go up and examine her podium just before she walks out to it....

Concentrate on the Podium lights in the first part along with her appearing to be reading and scrolling - and then the mysterious guy that , at the end, removes what seems to be some device - electronics to run teleprompter? -
