A popular Halloween attraction at Knott's Berry Farm and California's Great America was shutting down, officials announced Wednesday, after some took to social media calling the display "offensive" to those suffering from mental illness.
The virtual reality attraction, which essentially focuses on a story line about a possessed patient running wild in a hospital, consists of strapping parkgoers into a chair before they are given VR goggles. If the game becomes too intense for them, customers can press the "panic button."

After receiving backlash from several mental health advocates and "loyal fans," park officials issued a statement saying the attraction has been removed.

Oh brother. Knotts Scary Farm was so cool, one of the most fun Halloween memories of my childhood.
Possessed patient. Check.
In hospital. Check.
Has nothing to do with mental illness. Check.
Tilt.
Be careful how much evil you get scarily involved with, KBF. Evil leads to lies.
Which is supposed to represent whom?
I loved that place. The dude who strapped roller skates to his body and slid into everyone like bowling pins is still a childhood favorite.
That’s a pity. Knotts Berry Farm is such a throwback, a family owned and operated amusement park that’s not just survived, but thrived. Very innovative at times. They’ve succeeded despite having Disney not far away. I hate to see the PC drones getting after them, for any reason.
They may only be removing the Virtual Reality aspect of the attraction. Hopefully, the other parts will stay. Let some folks have a little fun. Virtual Reality is a somewhat new concept, so maybe it hasn’t been a part of the program all that long.
Bet these same people won’t have any issues with Knotts Scary Farm having a Trump display..they did the same thing in 2008, portrayed McCain/Palin in a horror show, bet they do the same this year with Trump, but that won’t offend these people
“Snowflakes Saved by Government Over-Reach”
I'm supposed to believe you don't know?
My guess, less than four.
Bunch of snowflakes can go pound pound sand.
Crazies get offended by anything and everything. Might as well give them some justification!
Oh, come on! No one is forcing them to visit the attraction.
I am not so disappointed in the snowflakes as I am the people who give in to them, thereby pissing off more people and revealing themselves to be pussies.
The pampers-wetting snowflakes, SJW uptight haters, hand wringing liberal basket cases, members of the cult of the professionally offended, hetero-bashing homo lobby, and the mexican cultural-appropriation bigots have just literally stomped out anything that may be considered “fun” in California.
Sad, yet infuriating.
I worked in a haunted house.
I am 5’18” and with 4” platform shoes I am THE scariest reaper you EVER encountered.
It’s funny, no white guys were scared. All black women were scared, about half the black guys and white women got scared and of course the little kids would crawl by me in terror. Ahh the days.
