The history of slavery in the United States justifies reparations for African Americans, argues a recent report by a U.N.-affiliated group based in Geneva.
This conclusion was part of a study by the United Nations' Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent, a body that reports to the international organization's High Commissioner on Human Rights. The group of experts, which includes leading human rights lawyers from around the world, presented its findings to the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday, pointing to the continuing link between present injustices and the dark chapters of American history.
"In particular, the legacy of colonial history, enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism and racial inequality in the United States remains a serious challenge, as there has been no real commitment to reparations and to truth and reconciliation for people of African descent," the report stated. "Contemporary police killings and the trauma that they create are reminiscent of the past racial terror of lynching."
Citing the past year's spate of police officers killing unarmed African American men, the panel warned against "impunity for state violence," which has created, in its words, a "human rights crisis" that "must be addressed as a matter of urgency."

I agree. Making a reparation of slavery is particularly stupid since slavery is still practiced in the world, and it has been practiced since the dawn of man, and only one nation has ever fought a war against itself to free its own slaves.

As soon as the decide that the African tribes that captured and sold the other africans and the muslim nations that were the slavers have to pay then we can talk. Until then the UN can piss off.

We could use all the money the UN owes us for unpaid parking tickets to give to blacks. That would probably cover the entire amount.

My ancestors were being oppressed by the Czar of all the Russias at the time of slavery, and well into the Jim Crow era. I, personally, never owned a slave, nor did anybody in my family, living or dead, who ever lived in the United States. I might add that no one alive currently was ever legally held as a slave in the United States. How any non-slave holder owes any non-slave any reparations of any kind for slavery, is well beyond my ability to comprehend.
In fact comma this absurd concept is so far beyond my ability to comprehend, that I must warn any fascist, tyrannical SOB in the UN that they will have to endure a rather unpleasant conversation with some tubular steel that I own before I will even consent to discuss this issue, let alone pay anything. In other words, fuck the UN!
