After enthusiastically endorsing and campaigning for Ted Cruz in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, radio talk show host Glenn Beck admitted he made an error and said he should have supported Marco Rubio instead.
Beck had just finished a contentious interview with Cruz, in which he quizzed the Texas Senator about supporting Donald Trump after making a public show of not endorsing him. For the very first time I heard Ted Cruz calculate, he said after the commercial break.
And when that happened, the whole thing fell apart for me, he continued. And its my fault. Its my fault for believing that men can actually be George Washington.

The ‘ism’ runs deep in some folks. Becoming Mormon didn’t help
Or a bag of hairy Doritos. Seriously, Beck is redefining “deranged” on an ongoing basis.
When did they let Glenn out of the funny farm?
Cruz has, as a rational adult, put his considerable ego behind him and made the right decision for the country. Beck...more drama. “Look at me, look at me. Watch me suffer and struggle, and never forget: it’s all about MEEEEEEEE....”
Get a thicker skin. Don’t take every comment personally.
Thanks for the input.
I’m all for making a “principled stand” - when it is required. When it comes to politics however, I think Reagan had it right:

The alternative? You end up cutting off your nose to spite your face - which is what Beck is doing.
Mormonism is not about forgiveness or love or tenderness. It is about doing enough temple work to become god
I will never make such a flat out statement. I do note that Glenn is very resentful He is prone to the bewilderment a. He is restless irritable and discontented
I am grateful Jesus did the heavy lifting for me. I could never be good enough on my own.
Gary is a nut job. Too many drugs
“Get a thicker skin. Dont take every comment personally.”
ROFL, if I didn’t have a thick skin, I wouldn’t still be here or on BB! Have you ever read the comments on BB? Believe me, they get VERY personal over there. The hatred and derision for Cruz and anybody who dares to still support him is unbelievable. Oh, well, IMO it’s all water under the bridge now, and all that matters is to elect Trump and keep Clinton well away from the Oval Office.
True words
But I will never be perfect or a god
Cue Dr. Demento.
On another note, the "coincidence" of Cruz finally backing Trump and the soon thereafter receipt of his pleas for donations to help him keep his seat are a bit ironic.....he knows he stepped in a big pile of it when he opted to go against his pledge and trash his own honor. If he happens to win and acts straight for the duration, I may back him again depending on what the options are, but not until he has paid his penance and exhibited the traits of one who has atoned....
Does this guy have any audience at all left? Outside of Utah?
Don’t know or care about whatever BB is
Yeah, we are not God, Lucifer wanted to be and look where it got him. It doesn’t end well.
Rubio announced his support for Trump even before the convention.
Cruz wishes Beck would have backed Rubio also
I personally believe that Trump would rather not run for President, but in 30 years no political leader has arisen to fix what's wrong with the nation. When Trump says at the rallies "I'm doing this for you", I'm cautiously accepting that statement at face value. Should his future actions prove true, then I would say he is Washington caliber.
Beck hitched his wagon to the wrong horse, and he's too blind and proud to repent.
