On the weekend leading up to 2016's first presidential debate, four news organizations came to a similar and sweeping conclusion: Donald Trump lies more often than Hillary Clinton.
In a normal election year this would be extraordinary. On Sunday editors and reporters at the newsrooms used another word: necessary.
The New York Times story — "A Week of Whoppers" — came out first on Saturday. Politico, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times all followed within hours.
Several of the editors who were involved said the timing was a coincidence. But there was clearly a desire to publish stories before Monday's debate, when Trump and Clinton's truthfulness will surely be at issue.
"Never in modern presidential politics has a major candidate made false statements as routinely as Trump has," the L.A. Times declared on page one of Sunday's paper.

Yes, and it was just a COINCIDENCE that none of the mainstream media published a word about his lying under oath in the Paula Jones case until Drudge published it. They all spiked every negative story about Clinton and they all KNEW damned good and well what he was. As did his wife, who believed and believes it is her duty to destroy any woman who dares to speak the truth about her husband and his assault(s) and/or affair(s).
Made sure to flood Facebook with “Trump is a liar” articles yesterday.
This is their psyops - they used it on Coulter, Romney and everyone else they are trying to destroy.
If you create enough voices in the echo chamber saying that he or she is a “racist” or “liar,” then the soft-headed listener will automatically discount what they say.

First thing this a.m., I turn on the tube and there is everyone talking about how the Dems are calling Trump a liar.
Well, I think, they have to. Everyone in the U.S. KNOWS that she is a liar -- what did Safire call her? A "congenital liar"?
They are trying to convince us that both candidates are liars, in order to try (desperately) to soften that image of HRC as the Grade A Liar. It is a new spin on HRC's "what difference does it make?" comment. Trying to convince voters that BOTH candidates are liars. Not true; but, they will try to convince us of that.
There is no longer any reason to care what the DNC Media has to say.
I would only amend this sentence with one word: "to save the lying commie bitch they adore."

No specifics and the one so-called lie that Trump allegedly made was not a lie. Hillary did start the birther flap. There is plenty of evidence out there that she did start it.
#3 is what the media doesn’t understand. We all see that the people WE all hate the most, hate Trump. Few respect the opinions of most mediots and politicians. Since those two groups seem to agree that Trump is bad news, that’s all we need to know to validate the belief that Trump IS the better candidate.
Networks are all on the same page...that Trump lies all the time...what a crock! Total insanity!
Searching the Internet and in one he said the crime rate increased in 2015, but that was incorrect with no facts or figures to back it up. Liberalism is truly a sickening disease.
