What they aren't saying is what Trump is doing. Romney refused to even campaign for votes from primarily black and poor neighborhoods. Trump's been there, Cleveland's east side, actually meeting with residents in a school and a church. If he gets just a small percentage of voters from those neighborhoods, that's a whole lot of votes Romney didn't even campaign for.
During the primaries, I was for either Trump or Cruz because I was against the GOPe. But when pushed on the subject, I preferred Trump over Cruz, despite seeing Trump as more of a wildcard, because I felt Trump would force Hillary to have to go to more battleground states and also have to defend some traditionally soft blue states. That appears to be happening here.

Very true. Donald Trump acts like he actually wants to WIN the election, not set himself up for talk show guest spots after a losing attempt (no names here, but the most recent initials are Willard Romney and John McCain. And Paul Ryan)
