ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
The Judge was really off base tonight. Nobody is perfect.
Ted Cruz said that Donald Trump had his strongest debate yet!

But he answered it. The current mayor was responsible for stopping the practice. Holt said it was deemed unconstitutional but Trump corrected him.
poll is at 50/50 now.
OOps! ...I mean this one....
Maybe for the next debate we should pick a back up thread to move to when the trolls and the naysayers get going. In the primaries I don’t think I remember too many Trump supporters bashing Trump nonstop. Not like tonight.
Where was this question in 2008 with Obama hiding behind Hawaii's personal data privacy laws to refuse releasing his birth certificate?
Didn't the public have a right to know in 2008 too, but the MSM just wasn't interested?
-PJ
Hillary has done the best she’ll ever do in a debate.
And Trump is not in the habit of repeating a mistake.
Duck and cover, Mrs. BJ, duck and cover.
**DRUDGE POLL** WHO WON THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?
TRUMP 82.19% (28,227 votes)
CLINTON 17.81% (6,117 votes)
Total Votes: 34,344
It's truly ashamed that someone who has been FReeping as long as you can't tell the difference between analysis and cheerleading.
If he really wanted to hit her, conclude with: "Mrs. Clinton, you can try to slither away all you want, but the facts are, black employment, and black families, have been destroyed, not just by the circumstances of 2008, but over the last few decades, by the policies of people like you, who have been in power, and use blacks to further your ambitions."
I also wish DT had responded to Hillary about the real causes of the recession of 2008, a subject about which he surely knows 10x more than Hillary. (She tried to blame it on Reagan's & Bush's tax cuts!)
IMO Hillary did nothing tonight to stop Trump’s march forward.
Asian stock markets shot up when it appeared that Hillary wouldnt faint or seize up. Nikkei came back from the dead. These financial markets are saying Hillary improved her position.
I don’t see it as a “bad” performance at all. He has the deck stacked against him, and he held his ground. He did not provide any major gaffe, nor a useful soundbite that can be used against him.
Clinton needed a knockout win to stop her obvious slide to oblivion. That did not happen, no matter how hard the MSM tries to portray it as such.
I think he could have done better, but could have done much worse.
They were NEVER on our Trump Rally Threads!
They were NEVER debating those who supported other candidates, and calling me, ME, a "Globalist" is one of THE funniest things I've EVER seen! ;^)
The problem with this election is the candidates have no humor. But I'll take a (R) NYer over a stuck up bully from Chitown everyday. Chicago is the breeding ground for powerlusters.
I saw the cord too, during NBC post-debate coverage, just before Nicolle Wallace’s segment. Hillary finished shaking hands with people at the base of the stage, and Bill arrived to escort her back to center stage. The cord was plainly visible under her suit and extended down her whole back.
Yeah, well some loser is doing the same to Laz tonight.
