ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
And Trump should have said Gee did you show stamina when you were watching FOUR AMERICAN HEROES DIE and didnt do a damn thing to save them.”
Great line, and I wish he’d said it.
His approach tonight was to be courteous and non-threatening or scary. She sarcastically said a few days ago that he’d probably wear his red power tie. He wore peaceful blue, and she was in relentless red. Trump was real, anyway, and Hillary provided a clinic in Alinsky tactics. She certainly out-zinged him; maybe “won on points” as the pundits said. Who cares? America will vote for real.
Im watching this on C-Span. The wire is clearly seen.
It took all my patience to sit for 90 minutes through the lab, blah, blah and voice of Hillary Clinton. It was clear she was the “professional” politician but Trump held his own tonight....I think he was targeting the undecided minority vote tonight in the reasoning he used in the problems facing them in inner cities...Yes, he needs to be more concise, don’t repeat things too much and stay focused. But, he made great points when it mattered....
You might be onto something.
You are holding him to YOUR standards and YOUR expectations, which are both unrealistic and wholly “personal”.
He did what he needed to do, and did not cough up any major gaffes.
She did not come away with any positive momentum or “zingers” she could ride to the election.
Yes, we know, you wanted a “kill shot”, but that isn’t really what was necessary, was it?
If that’s Chucky Schumer behind Clinton, he looks defeated. Bill looks like the roof just caved in on him (he’s got the political experience to make that call in real time), and Chelsea looks depressed in a somewhat annoyed fashion.
Yeah, just call me and the rest of the freepers stupid. There are many here who are trained in debating. I doubt Trump has had too many under his belt. He will get better the more he does.
Could also be the PISSED OFF ANGRY American viewers who are fed up with the mediawhores and their biased attitudes trying to force their views on us...what they saw tonight was a insanely biased and horrible titled debate to favor their candidate...people are not stupid they see right through them...PLUS THE AMERICAN people HATE, AND I MEAN HATE the mediapukes with a passion because of this kind of shit they continue to pull!!
sorta watched debate. Volume had to be low(Im deaf) as their were guests in room above and next to the breakfast room. The room however above is a Jacuzzi room and the jets were going the whole debate. That motor noise carried into our room below.
Yikes 4500 posts. I was just looking to post something so will try to go over the thread tonight or preferably in monring. I work til 11.
Right now could sleep big time. All guests checked in except Thunder Down Under. 6 entertainers who will be doing shows at the Hard Rock Rocksino, 4 miles away. They are with us two or three times a year and always have sold out performances. They are really nice guys and with their clothes on look like any normal college guy that works out.

Hillary’s campaign working furiously on her behalf. Too bad they wasted their damn time. Naw, I hope none were volunteers and that she had to pay them super amounts of cash!
.. but still, a disaster for Trump!
All of you troll bastards - and there’s a ton in here tonight - absolutely disgust me.
Sunshine patriots is accurate, but WAY too kind.
FR’s own reprehensible, duplicitous sixth column.
My spouse and friend (neither were on FR) watch ed debate and concluded he did well to OK.
Because it sure isn't working for *you*, Gríma.
Think about it. This is probably his one bad performance, but he had an obvious Democrat Party, Hillary campaign and NBC News coordinated debate set against him. He held his own and Hillary didn’t even come close to getting the knockout punch she needed. At best a draw and things will pretty much stay the same in this race.
What I read was a lot of complete condemnation of everything Trump said and did. Somewhere trolls I am sure. But others were people just having a knee-jerk reaction. Anyway, it was not honest but extremely negative. Hardly supportive.
We’ll see in the morning if the American people thought otherwise. The debates really aren’t about the answers to each and every question, but an overall impression. Trump came across as warm and authentic. Hillary was quite goofy looking and condescending.

He's aiming for disaffected Democrats.
Trump was careful not to go in for the kill. I’m guessing Kellyanne’s coached him to pull back and let the people fill in the blank. I’d love to hear him say your Benghazi comment just for my own personal satisfaction.
Is he a quick learner? Yes he is!
Does he need help, ASAP! You bet he does!
Holt and Hillary had him on the defensive, a lot of the time, which didn't look good. He needs to not make faces and he needs to go on the OFFENSIVE...especially when she has dug a deep hole, which she did tonight, slickly and he did NOT use the time to use it against her, as he should have.
Hopefully Kellyann hits him upside his head and shows him how to take advantage of Hillary's "ooppses".
