She has identified him as Arcan Cetin.
Arcan Cetin's Facebook profile has his hometown listed as Adana, Turkey.

The last time I was in Macy’s it was during the middle of the day and I was shopping for a dress for a wedding. I was surprised to note that almost everyone in the dress and women’s departments, and it was pretty busy, was of Arabic persuasion, including the salesladies (who had heavy accents). I and maybe five other women shoppers were Caucasion, the other 50-75 were not.
I was speaking about it to some friends and they said these women have nothing else to do during the day and have a lot of money. This was in Newport Beach, CA.

I guess it depends on how acutely aware you are of your “neck of the woods”. had he had a pressure cooker in his hands might you have thought he was muslim?
