(CNN) -- A man carrying a rifle entered a Macy's store at a mall in Washington state, shot dead four women and a man, and vanished into the night, police said.
Authorities believe only one person fired the shots Friday night at Cascade Mall in Burlington, about an hour north of Seattle. A search is underway for an armed man who headed toward Interstate 5 after the attack, said Sgt. Mark Francis, a spokesman for the Washington State Patrol.

“I know they keep saying hispanic male....to me that picture shows a male could just as easily be middle eastern,”
Looks more middle east than Hispanic.
Spain is a melting pot, like Britain though. So some Spanish derive from North Africa. (Pretty much true for Italy and Greece, too)
Hispanics with a lot of native American blood, often have less facial/body hair, and straight hair, not wavy.
I have known Afghans to be mistaken for Mexicans by Mexicans. The Mexicans were confused when the Afghans didn’t respond to Spanish.
Notice how fast the authorities determined that this shooting was not an act of terrorism while they still have not identified nor apprehended the shooter.
Allahu Akbar y’all.
Woman’s first name: Allahu.
Woman’s last name: Akhbar.
I thought he looked slightly more muzzie - just my instant reaction. Seriously.
My SIL is over 6’ tall and of Mexican decent......he either appears Middle Eastern, or even black at times. Depends on someone’s perspective. If he’s been in the sun he gets dark pretty quick. I just smile at everyone who notices him and stares, almost daring them to ask.
Suppose so. Sure looks like one of those smaller Chinese models, or even a Yugo m59. Could be a 10/22 I suppose.
Was her name Alluha Akbar?
Yep looks Arab to me too, Hispanic Arab maybe.
Looks very young there - like high school age
agreed
People say he was a Hispanic—How do they know? Might he have been an Arab? A Syrian? Did he yell Allah Akbar! or Via La Raza? Did he select his targets or were they random?
