Since the mall is right next to I-5, there is speculation that the Hispanic male may have had a getaway car parked on the shoulder. After he killed those people, he ran over to the fence that runs parallel to I-5, got through an opening and into the car. He is long gone by now.

That chain of events seems to weigh against a Muslim perp, in some ways. A jihadi would end up taking hostages, blowing up the place, and going down in a hail of gunfire.

Now it's sounding more like this may have been a targeted act against specific people.
