Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency.
[This is] a profoundly sad day for me, he wrote on Facebook. "Disappointment does not begin to describe.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while, the conservative commentator added. "Again, disappointment doesnt even begin to describe my feelings.
Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOPs presidential primary, added he feared for the nations future.
America is an idea, not a country, he said. "When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea. I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing ones comfort and country.
The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die. Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die. Long live the idea of the republic.
Cruz earlier Friday endorsed Trump, a stunning reversal after months spent refusing to back the Republican presidential nominee.
Our country is in crisis, he wrote on Facebook. "Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican presidential nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.
Cruz refrained from endorsing Trump after their at-times heated GOP presidential primary.
Beck was fiercely critical of Trump during their contest, even suggesting in March no real Christian would back the billionaire.
The radio host predicted in May, however, Trump would ultimately defeat Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee.
Perhaps he should invest in this selection: SALT MADE FROM TEARS RANGE?
My late father loved Charlie Pride and all that 50s/60s country.
Beck’s biggest problem was thinking that the problems could be fixed with “Love”, the time for love passed a season(s) ago, GHWB, and GWB done squandered it be cause they were both NWO hacks.
Now is the time for WRATH and BLOOD, (Not actual bloodshed mind you, unless it totally goes off the rails, but a time for severe political battles and scorched earth.)
The time for Love has long since passed, as it was wasted.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while,
Beck code for pulling that last case of Busch beer out of cold storage and nailing it.
“Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while,
Don’t ruin the mountains for the rest of us!
He's taking this harder than I thought.
.
Since when is Beck a “Conservative columnist?”
.
Yes Beck; I doubt you will be missed.
The Mountain says: no
So did I, my FRiend. Your Dad and I would have hit it off. :)
I like it, too ... all those years driving around listening to his 8-track tapes. He would have been 80 this year.
Send Beck razor blades
Beck is either off his meds or back on the booze. Either way...?
excessive perfectionism, rigidity, stubbornness, and inflexibility can be a sign of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder
Fixed. Don't come back, you freakin' nutjob.

This is John Michael Montgomery’s great song about his father.
Glen Beck is a victim of fallowing the leadership of the Mormon church that for what ever the reason has decided that it does not want trump. this is the reason for most Mormon republicans that are closely connected to the leadership of the church not supporting trump....I am betting it is coming from the church president who traditionally has told its politicians what positions to take. the church council is a gerontocracy that is only entered when a member dies or if the president and council kicks one out. I believe that Glen Beck wants to become a member of that group despite the fact that he is a convert And traditionally you need the write pedigree to get on the council.
Cruz will rebound nicely from his endorsement and Beck not so much. He went all in and lost big league.
